Tickling and encounters with society
I'll probably be perpetually stuck in "lurk mode", given my current professional field, which occasionally involves work with minors. Consider the media hype with regard to Michael Jackson's "tickling games" and the resultant law suits. I could never do the stuff he's alleged to have done with minors, and anyway, I'm really only interested in tickling (and being tickled by) non-naked adult women. But, given a worst-case scenario, what would happen if some of the parents with whom I interact found out about my association (however furtive) with this and other tickling sites? As I mentioned in my lone post three (gasp!) years ago, given some of the content on these sites--the fact that, like it or not, this site would probably be considered pornographic--coupled with the Michael Jackson hype, some of the parents might understandably assume the worst and question the safety of their children. And, here in my somewhat out-of-the-way community, professional reputation takes hard work to maintain.
Also, apart from the above reasoning, I interact with many wonderful people who are considerably more conservative than today's television norm--and the casual attitude toward sex and physical relationships that is so common now in the entertainment media doesn't sit well with them (nor with me, for that matter). Now, some of my female friends in that category might enjoy the occasional tickle fight with a guy (and in the past, I enjoyed very playful tickling-included friendships with a couple of them), but as all of us move further away from college days, the notion of "growing up" plus the increasing barrier of marriage (i.e., married people shouldn't engage in tickling with friends of the opposite sex) renders the likelihood of this ever slimmer. Besides, even just a lengthy conversation about tickling would seem a bit obsessive to most of them...a whole forum dedicated to tickling would be pretty incomprehensible.
There's more I could say on this subject, but I tend to be too long-winded as it is, so I'll desist for now...
