passing out?

hey yall:

has anyone ever been tickled or tickled someone to the point of actually passing out? we read about it all the time in stories, but i wonder if it ever really happens.

experiences?

Although I've never tickled anyone to that point, it can and does occur...

I caution anyone who's a "ler" to always use common sense...especially if your ticklee has asthma or other type of breathing problem. When someone faints from being tickled, it usually occurs from lack of oxygen....from laughing so uncontrollably they can't breath in enough air to remain conscious.

For someone like myself who suffers from asthma, it doesn't take as long for the effects of extreme laughter to take our oxygen level to the bottom (why an asthma attack leaves you weak, and in my case....blood sugar level very low...sometimes below 30 😱

Yes... it certainly happens. It used to happen to me until the gang figured out how to keep me going! Darn it anyway!

It's a pretty wierd sensation. You're in the midst of laughing and for me there are little white lights that start to go off and then I'm history. Often I can't even say anything, through the laughter, to get them to stop. But with all the gatherings we've had over the years the gang can read me all too well... Darn it!

My first NEST I was in such a panic mode that I was out in about 25 minutes! But then I think I had about 10 people all tickling me at the same time. One person would rest on my feet but someone else was attacking my underarms so it was basically non-stop until I did the stopping! LOL

I sure wouldn't recommend it as a goal as it can be pretty scary but having been there (and back) it's ok providing you have caring folks around to make sure you come back ok. Our local gang has that down to a science! Thanks Guys!

From a ler standpoint, it would have been the scariest thing in the world if I hadn't been told beforehand it wasn't an uncommon or particularly unhealthy thing... (at least in the case of one royal-she shephard-middle fate Lee).

Yes, it really happens, and girls can use it to their advantage. Caveat: I was young, strong, and had a body that could take a lot (like basketball practice) which I can't today.

Excellend analogy! I favor the "Oh-No-I-Broke-It-While-Mom-And-Dad-Were-Gone-And-I'm-Not-Supposed-To-Touch-It" sense of panic metaphor, but that works just as well... 😛

Not Fun

As a lee with bad athsma, this has occured on a couple of occaisions. This is why safe words are important. I was fine when I woke up, but it is definitely a scary situation and can be avoided if there are extra precautions taken. Just make sure that the safe word is easily said, unlike supercalifragilisticexpealidocious.
