Like i figured, the 2 garbage teams, st louis and minnesota got wiped out. the big question now, is who will the patriots destroy in the superbowl after beating pittsburgh next week. i hope atlanta makes it. at least they might make the superbowl a little bit more exciting before falling to the god like patriots.

My prediction: Vick will be the superbowl mvp after leading the falcons to a win over the steelers.

Patriots Hater Who Has To Admit......

I gotta admit the Pats made a god in Peyton Manning a mortal once again. I guess Manning is strictly a dome QB after all...he certainly is no Elway. As for the Pats I agree with the poster that the Lombardi trophy is theirs already my only disagreement is that it will be the Eagles they destroy not the Falcons.

sorry guys i disagree...pittsburgh will not roll over and die just so that New England can claim to be a dynasty.

In the cold day at foxboro, the pats Defense did what they needed to do.

Taken from nfl.com

FOXBORO, Mass. (Jan. 16, 2004) -- The New England Patriots kept the ball away from Peyton Manning most of the game and shut him down when he had it.

Oddsmakers open the patriots as 3 point favorite over a steelers team that has the best defense in the league, the best record, beat the pats earlier in the year and have home field advantage. doesnt that tell you something? pittsburgh will be just another victim!

Finally, someone I can agree with! The Steelers beat them before, and will beat 'em again!!!

The Steelers are coming!
The Steelers are coming!

I think it will largely depend on which Steelers team shows up for the game on Sunday. Will it be the Steelers team that dominated (including New England and Philadelphia) throughout the regular season, or will it be the team (defense excepted for the most part) that barely squeaked out a victory last weekend? Hopefully it will be a good game.

As long as the offense shows up, the Steelers will win on Sunday. If not, I'll just have to find something else to watch on Superbowl Sunday. I will not submit myself to another Patriots Superbowl game. The nausea would be sickening!😡

I can tell you any game with the patriots in it is not worth my watching. I'm sick of looking at them! Bring in some fresh teams for the superbowl.

WOW! My sorry ass Dolphins whupt the Gods of
the gridiron! Only in america!😀

Hey, good luck, just the same!

Keep in mind that the Pats had four early turnovers in that first game against Pittsburgh. Say the Steelers caused them, say whatever, I just say it won't happen this week. Also keep in mind that Dillon didn't play that game. No matter the outcome, two superbowls in three years and an AFC Championship game in the fourth is a worthy accomplishment for any team and I would say that pretty much makes them a dynasty as it stands. Far better than say the Bears who had one good year and everyone acts like they were soooo good. Give me a break and put them on One of those One Year Wonders or Where are they now? tv shows.

the only reason the pats lost to the steelers in the first place was because they didn't have corey dillion. with dillion in the lineup the Pats have a much more efficent offense because of how he opens up the deep ball from tom brady and because of the play action they can run with him. not to mentio the 100+ yards you can pencil him in for every game. The pats only had 5 yards on 6 carries in the last game against the steelers is there anyone in their right mind who thinks that will happen again? i doubt it

Corey Dillion vs. Pittsburgh Steelers:

2002 - Home Game: 17 rushes - 57 yards
2002 - Away Game: 19 rushes - 60 yards

2003 - Home Game: 7 rushes - 26 yards
2003 - Away Game: 10 rushes - 48 yards.

Them there Steeler got a pretty good runs denfense.

Maybe the golden-child Brady will win the game for the Patriots? Or maybe he'll spend half the day running for his life?

I hope its a good game and I'll be rooting for the Steelers, as always.

I think maybe the offensive line - and quarterback threat - of the Bengals had a LOT to do with those stats toyou44. It wasn't a matter of Pittsburgh shutting down Corey Dillon, it was a matter of shutting down one running back in an empty offense. In short, New England ain't the Bengals.

I realize the Bengels aren't the Patriots...but Cincinnati won a couple of those games because of their quarterback. And those weren't the best Pittsburgh defenses either.

I just wanted to point out that one player may or may not be the difference. One bad tipped ball for a touchdown could be the play despite how the game goes. And it might even come done to a kick like the Jets game.

I am in no way an over-confident Steeler fan...especially this week. Just being realistic.
