Some women that I know irl that I've managed to have some conversation on this topic with say that even if they are pretty ticklish that they'll usually be able to make it through the exfoliation parts without giving away much indication that it's tickling them, but also will say that it sometimes takes a lot of effort on their end to keep it together. My guess would be that regular pedicure go-ers eventually try to make it a point to build a resistance to the exfoliation sensation to seem more seasoned or mature, but could still most certainly have pretty sensitive feet in other normal situations.
This is most likely the case for a lot of people that you see sitting like a rock through the scrub.. who knows, you might see one of them get caught off guard one day!!
