i think its so weird. i can understand not seeing it as a turn on. but hating it? why? it doesnt hurt?

i told her i liked it (not in a sexual way i just said "oh a weird thing about me is that i liked being tickled). she insists it does hurt because "your laughing even though its not funny and the bozo who's doing it just keeps doing it". this use to bother me but now i find it funny.


any of you know people like this?
 
It most likely has to do with an earlier bad experience.
I've talked about this to various women and its always the same.
It was used against them, to control them some way or to just
aggravate the shit out of them. There was no fun and games it caused some
serious emotional problems...Thats why they hate it.

Uh, as to the OP: Yes, my ex absolutely hated to be tickled.

I dated a girl a long time ago that hated to be tickled. It was very frustrating. Even if I lightly touched her she would get mad. Of course, since she hated it, she never tickled me either.
 
I used to be that way for a really long time, my mom used to pin me down and tickle the shit out of me saying "WHO'S THE BEST MOM IN THE WORLD?!" She'd tickle me so hard I couldn't breath, so it was just too much!

But since I've been tickled on film and off by people who really love it, I've in turn learned to enjoy and appreciate it SO much more! It's really one of my favorite things!
 
Everyone can go into anything in my opinion, As long as she trust and respects you it becomes easier to go into something like that. I remember when i first started dating my fiancee she hated it but i built her trust came out with it as sexual. And now she loves it and is a member of the forums. It may take time but if you care for someone let them work into it.
 
my girlfriend now hates it, her brother used to torture her. she tickles me though and now and again she takes it if we're playing. i've never dated someone who <i>didn't</i> claim to hate it, and so far she's the only one who didn't get mad at me for tickling anyway.

cause i can't help m'self, dontcha know.

Correction: I never HATED it. It annoys me when people do jumper-cables or poke me and try to be funny...it just hurts. Actual tickling, I never had a problem with, I was always just self conscious of myself and didn't want people touching me and me losing control. As for me tickling other people (well, other girls), I've always loved it and you know it. =P
 
I think it has to do with a bad past experience too. Probably from childhood. But, in that case you need to break down the barriers and take it slow. Remember....patience! It works! It's worked for me. Don't go to the extreme. Just ask to have your feet rubbed or don't tickle her to excess. MAKE IT PLAYFUL AND FUN! This has worked for me in many relationships. I hope this helps.

people can hate it and it doesn't mean that they were traumatized as a child.. as people that love tickling sometimes we can't understand why people can hate it and asume it has to do with a previous experience in their life if they don't like it because it's just darn fun (but that's to us though) gotta think about them, sometimes people can hate it for various reasons. Sometimes they can just find it annoying, sometimes it can hurt.. if the person is too ticklish and they laugh too much sometimes it can hurt their belly, or if you tickle them too hard it can hurt.. there are reasons why it can hurt to tickle someone..

I hate being tickled, I'm a hypocritical ler. For one thing, I find the sensation really uncomfortable, and also, bad childhood experiences.

Of course, those same experiences are no doubt why I consider tickling to be cruel and torturous enough to be sexy.

well, I've had a friend and she was kinda strange, first she liked it kindof... . Maybe due to the fact that it was more like a soft massage including tickling. But at some point she mentioned that she just does not like it. Was kinda strange to me... but well the world does not revolve around tickling entirely, I guess. But she never used the words "hate" or somethin... 🙂
 
I've a hypothesis on why some hate it and some don't.
Associations/learned behaviour aside.

The sensation is believed to be caused by a combination of pressure and pain nerves (leaving the brain out of it for now).

As each of us is slightly different physiologically, the balance may be off. More pain nerves may be firing in some than others, and so it does indeed hurt, and so they hate it.
 
i've never been really tickled, dunno what it's really like, but i wanna try. i like the helpless feeling and all.
