Uhm...I would just say that it tickles more on bare skin than it does through fabric, whether the mind decides that it does or not! 🙂 It's just logical! 🙂

A word of wisdom from a ticklee: the anticipation is half the sensation!

In the case of stockings, the fabric is sheer enough that the rustling against the skin actually adds to the sensation so here bare feet wouldn't necessarily be more sensitive.

Now go and put this knowledge (which for some of you may not be anything new) in practice!

Yeah I have also noticed this when being a ler/switch when tickling my lees. It does seem that they do tend to react more and get even more wiggling and squirming and frantic when I am doing the tickling-if I take my time and slowly tease and trail the chopstick, or the feather, or fingertips up and down the spine or the skin-that is either been covered then versus being completely uncovered right away. It tends that when for an example if I lightly tickle on the material and around the material, slowly trail and tickle on the skin with either tickle tools or fingertips, more intense reaction. I think also this has to do with sense and thrill of anticipation. I agree with that.

It does tend to make the lee laugh more and react more when slowly teased and verbally playfully and slowly ticklishly taunted before going into the slow yet medium quick intense playful tickles. I have found this to be true. Whereas totally uncovered skin to be tickled, whether it be a example of a person in shirt and shorts and bare feet and bare legs-more ticklish as you slowly tickle and taunt. Versus being a person maybe being in shorts and no shirt-(guy) that is -and a little bit of verbal teasing and verbal tickle taunts and quicker targeting the tickle areas, not as a intense reaction.

Also for me I have found too that I tend to be more ticklish when I am slowly verbally teased and verbally slowly tickle taunted-positive playful way (not degrading) when I am slowly tickled and teased not rough but lightly with fingertips, soft feathers, stiff feathers and light tickle tools versus more intense tickle tools like spin brush and pulsar toothbrushes on more intense 15 tickle spots (being the most intense) I think it does have something to do w anticipation and suspense of where is the ler/ switch gonna target next-especially becomes so if the lee is blindfolded-ultimate-blindfolded and restrained-slowly targeting tickle spots slowly taking one's time-slowly revealing and slowly tickling uncovered skin-playful slow rate.

But yeah I have found this to be true too.
