Ladies. why so standoffish on the personals? We are all here for the same reason, some women may not want to meet, but plenty do. If you do, then take it slow and easy, but take it. I have more luck on personal sites then here. There are ways to be safe when meeting. Come out of your shells....
 
I just look in the personals now for a bloody good laugh. As many people have said before, whenever a girl posts on there (I find it hilarious) it's like dozens of fat children climbing over each other to get to a bar of chocolate. Maybe that answers your question.

After a brief review of your posting history, I offer the following suggestions. If you can, get more involved with the TMF in general. Start threads on things you find interesting, funny or perplexing. If you find a thread of interest to you, comment on it.

I did meet a very good friend here via the personal forum, but that has been the exception rather then the rule in my experience.

Most ladies here are open to a respectful private message also. I have made numerous friends that way. If you show a genuine intrest intrest in getting to know the lovely ladies here, I have no doubt you will be rewarded. You seem like a nice guy. Good luck. 😀

Couldn't agree more, my friend.

In all seriousness, I have had exactly one successful encounter via the personals in my 10 years as a member of this forum. Even that is looking like a one and done deal. While there are plenty of serious women out there, our personals section does not exactly seem to be littered with them. That's why I generally pay it no mind and attempt to connect outside of this site. I've done far better that way.
 
I think a majority of the already small amount of women on here arent looking to meet. i think they just come on here to chat only.
 
I'd like to meet new people, I'm taking a road trip this summer and I am trying to get Johnny across the pond to meet all the lovely people I can between both of my homes.

My job is to type invoices on the very laptop I use to come here. Most of my local pubs where I used to go of an evening have closed down and the rest are now overpriced, so I am usually on here in between typing invoices. I have no life, not till I start university anyway. I was only saying that the OP can't have posted much or I would have noticed.
