The funniest thing I've ever heard. A lot of teams are known for a lot of things, but this "takes the cake." The next team on the losing list is the Braves at 9,681, followed by the Cubs at 9,425. The Phillies will be the sole owner of that distinction for some time.

I think if the Royals were around as long as the Phiilies their loss total would be much worse!

And last night, at Dodger Stadium, I saw the Phillies lose their 10,001st game, the final score being Dodgers 10, Phillies 3. 😀

Actually the Washington Generals (the adversary of the Harlem Globetrotters) from 1953 to 1995 lost over 13,000 games while winning only 6.
