Playing hard to get. Yes or no?

If you mean playful tickle-wrestling with a partner in a relationship that already includes tickling, I'm all for that. It's not really "better" than the alternative, but it's a different kind of fun.

Yeah I guess it depends on who you're with and whether they're up for chasing you round the bedroom lol.

If you mean playing hard to get in the early stages of the relationship, before tickling is formally negotiated, then that wouldn't work with me. At least, it wouldn't work of what the 'lee wanted was to get tickled. I never assume that no means yes. Someone who wants to play with me needs to come right out and say so or it's just not going to happen.

I agree, you have to instigate it.

Also, there's a major difference between playing hard to get and just trying to avoid being tickled altogether. In the past, people have thought that me being a tease means I don't want to be tickled.

If I'm in a relationship with someone that I regularly tickle, and she starts acting like she doesn't want it, but with a sparkle in her eye, then I figure she's teasing and I play along. If there's any doubt, though, I ask.

If I'm getting "don't tickle me" signals from someone I've never tickled before then I have to assume she means it.

Back to the original idea (if IllticklU really wanted an answer at all!) I have found that every day is an opportunity to tempt someone, test someone...at a diner you can ask the waitress what she recommends, then what she recommends for dessert, then come back two or three days later with another request, then another, and a different day again, and all the while it appears that she is just doing her job but you are engaging in a game that leads to the question...or, when meeting a woman for the first time in an elevator, just ask her for the time, then ask about her watch or a ring she is wearing..whatever...then asking a woman to talk about her shoes (If they are a nice pair) and on and on it goes so the woman doesn't realize she is being pursued...there is no loser here...it is all a matter of constantly practicing until you find the receptive woman.

Then I guess it's about getting the balance right; teasing a bit, but not so much that they either get bored or just think you're not interested but don't want to admit that.

It's also possible to pretend you don't want it, but show signs that, deep down, you do. Whether the other person picks up on this, however, depends on their intuition, experience and how well they know you.
