Please fix search

Lately when I search on things, the result is no longer sorted by date.

Also when I search for X AND Y, I invariably get X OR Y.

Finally if you can add the long awaited quote search ( searching for "A B C" only gives the results for "A B C" ), that would be fantastic.

I'm unable to reproduce the problems you are describing, so I'm not sure why you are getting those results.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

If I'm logged off and type in the keywords Jessica Biel for a search on the Non-tickling Images forum, I get 4 results, which is the expected result.

But if I'm logged on and type in the keywords Jessica Biel for a search on the Non-tickling Images forum, I get 52 results, because the search is for Jessica OR Biel. Adding quotes ("Jessica Biel") or using Jessica AND Biel doesn't change the results.

When I'm logged on, the search is always X OR Y. Can this please be fixed?

I receive an identical result for searching Jessica Biel in the advanced search window, whether logged in or not. I'm not certain how you're getting these odd results. I've checked the options I have available, but none appear to have any effects on what you describe.

OK, nothing can be done about the search problem above as I experience it. I'll just have to log off first to get the results I want.

BUT ...

Can you please lower the search word limit to three letters (for example, BAC)? They do it at TMF, I don't understand why we can't do it here. Thanks.

A workaround for the above is to use an asterisk to expand the search term to four characters, such as *BAC to search for all instances of the word BAC.
