Please Pray For My Girlfriend...

Her mother is currently in ICU and on life support. We stayed at the hospital for about 4 hours, when they told us that visitation is over, so we had to leave. She is suffering from congestive heart failure.


I've been trying to console her to the best of my ability, offering a sympathetic ear, prayers, and many, many bible verses. She is absolutely crushed.


Please pray for her mother.

I second Ann's thoughts and prayers.
FWIW and I'm sure at the moment, it's not much comfort, but a lot of my patients come through this surprisingly fine. The ICU experience is scary as hell (I do rounds here every day) and the CHF diagnosis alone sounds hopeless but I know many, many people who live on for decades. Like diabetes, which was once thought of as a certain death curse, the medical community has made huge strides in regard to managing this condition.
