Trading Clips is Not Permitted
Because of copyright concerns, requests or offers to trade clips on the TickleTheater are not permitted. This includes signatures requesting trading. Such signatures will need to be removed and replaced. The term "trade" includes offering material by any means other than posting or linking it at Tickle Theater, whether or not reciprocation is expected.

Full-length Downloadable Clips and Digital Movies
Full-length digital movies or downloadable non-sample clips from paysites may not be posted, offered, requested, or traded at the Tickle Theater without pemission of the copyright owner. This even applies if the producer is no longer in business, because somebody still owns the copyright for the work. In other words, if the media in question, be it a clip or digital movie or even VHS/DVD movie converted to a digital file, was or is offered for sale and not for free, no matter how long ago, IT MAY NOT BE POSTED. There are no exceptions to this rule. The ONLY person with the right to share or distribute these media is the holder of the copyright on the media.

Trading of Physical Media Allowed
Offers to buy, sell, or trade original, non-copied physical media (video tapes or discs) manufactured by the original producer are allowed because no copyright law would be violated by such activities.

This change in policy is for several reasons. First, we believe clips should be posted on the Theater instead of traded outside it where only a few will have access to them. We also believe that nearly all clips that can be legally traded are easily posted on the Theater, and thus we suspect most trading is of clips that are not legal to trade. However, there are some clips that are legal to trade but are too large to post on the Theater. The number of these in existance is VERY small, however, so members may wish to post an inquiry as to whether or not a file fitting this description can be posted before they take the time to upload it. The limit for uploading clips to the Theater is no more than 20 MB total (To upload these, split with Winrar, HjSplit, or Hacha and post in Splits.). For those few legal to post clips above 20 MB, we have multiple methods for Theater members to share them with the community:

RapidShare
First, if the file is 50.0 MB or smaller, you can use RapidShare. It allows for unlimited downloads of a file with split archives allowed. Just upload the file and post the secret link they give you on the forum so others can download it.

YouSendIt
Second, you can use YouSendIt. YouSendIt allows for files of any size to be uploaded, and if you put in your email as the "Recipient's Email Address," it will send the link to the file to you. Note: It only allows for 25 downloads per upload, so reupload it after it runs out.

Spread-It[font=&quot]
Third, you can upload files of up to 500 MB to Spread-It. However, files only stay on the server as long as it is being downloaded. After 14 days of no downloads, files are removed. They are supposed to have fast speeds, according to a few sources.

Megaupload
Fourth, you can upload files up to 500 MB to Megaupload. Like Spread-It, files only stay on the server if they are being downloaded. After 30 days of no downloads, they are removed. Speeds are said to be slower than Spread-It, though.

Fifth, you can upload files of up to 60 MB to http://www.savefile.com, but please note their terms of service.[font=&quot]

[/font] Note: We do not endorse/support the use of these options for any purpose other than the uploading of clips that can be legally shared so that they may then be shared with all members of the TickleTheater. Any other use is the sole responsibility of the user.
