today was The Day. For those of you who were so blessed, what did you think of it?

overall, while I don't want to say it's better than Running With Scissors, it was a very strong offering. The first six tracks are a killer opening, and the later parodies are some stellar offerings (especially "Ode to a Superhero" and "A Complicated Song"), but most of the original songs left me thinking "huh?", especially the palindrome number ("Bob") and "Genius in France".

definitely among The Master's best.

Poodle Hat, that's "Weird Al" Yankovic's new album, is it not? Too bad Eminem didn't let Al go ahead with the video parody of "Lose Yourself," but at least the audio song is on there, if I'm not mistaken. As long as there are artists who are easily made fun of, Al will never be out of a job. 😛

Mad, that analogy is probably the closest thing to absolute truth I've ever heard. A true testiment of Al's greatness is that his career has lasted far longer than nearly any of the artists he's made fun of in the past. So, there ya go.

I get such a kick out of Weird Al, his American Pie/Star Wars parody was hysterical!
For a really strange, "out there" cd, The Langley School Project is a winner. Bunch of school kids from the 70s singing the hits of the day.
