Hello!
I´ve been recently back to TMF after a very long absence. It´s not my first one but this time i´d like to take the time and share some of what´s been happening, as now i know lots of you from last NEST.
These past months i´ve only been available through my private e-mail. I think LeeAllure was likely the only TMFmember to actually contact with me during this period when we got on Gmail simultaneously once.
Pretty much these last months i had everything going around!
My trainee, which was new by NEST, is now almost ready to take my place so i´m getting ready to climb the infamous professional lather...with all the politics and setbacks which always come with it. I´ve been traveling to Germany several times since last NEST, been there 4 times since May, including one full week to run lots of personality tests and whatever. Professionaly i see myself at a stage where you really canot see how your future will develop (considering the surrounding crisis doesn´t help). So here it´s been really a time for doubt, some rough decisions...nothing special but i canot say i like it.
Out of work i´m still leading a project to help young graduates from my college. I´m proudly one of the leaders and we achieved a remarkable number of 11 gatherings within our 1st year. Including a sailing contest and a full outdoor weekend, some trainings, workshops, seminars...it´s running wildly and takes a lot of time and effort. Next year i´ll likely leave my leading place and relieve it to others who are younger and have more time. Still we plan to expand and have nothing less than 22 gatherings next year. Our aim now is to get big enough as to get on national news thus providing a real advantage to our college.
If all of this was not enough, my close family was hit by some health issues. Luckily my mother found out something not very good inside her but it was soon enough to get rid of it without any big measures. So this one we got through. Our family is cursed by cancer so we all run a thin line between life and death. One of my aunts was not so lucky and had to undertake a more serious surgery a few months ago. She still has very good recovery prognosys so seems safe there. If disaster was not complete, i have also a cousin who will remove her breasts likely in January at only 30 years old. Those who relate to these kind of problems know how bad it can be and how it can become a fear if you´ve seen it since a young age. 2008 already saw me undergoing surgery (altough only appendicites) but it really was a scary year...still is!!!!!
Do to all this stuff i´ve been more or less on a rollercoaster. It was recovery from my own surgery, getting fully fit again. Then all pressures started crushing down and i´m now in need of a good rest. Also a bit frightened as doctors are looking to check all family members, even younger ones, just to be sure. I´ll likely go through it early 2009.
And finally, almost on a side note and almost for fun....even my beloved car decided to get broken 🙁 🙁 🙁 So i´m running again my 1st car which despite being 16 year old is still there to be trusted. And this because every possible garage i was going was trying to cheat me hard and painfully!!!!! good news is now i have some one in whom i can trust and we already started together dealing with these mechanical problems.
So i sincerely apologize to all who i may not have answered lately! I was really short on christmas cards also this year, just answered the ones i got 😉
Hopefully all will go well now and i should be able to get back on track
In the meanwhile, it´s really nice to be back!!!!!
A merry christmas for all and all the best for 2009
