Possible new Ticklee character...yes it's a cat-girl =P

Since I won't be making anymore tickling related pics with Jipsy or Yuri as they have sorta gone mainstream on Cyclypse.com (at least whenever the damn thing is up and running -_-), i've been playing around with a concept for a new "victim". I have yet to come up with a name for her and I would appreciate some suggestions. I'm toying with either Subaru, Poemy, or Neko-chan (simple, i know). Comments welcome!

Alot of american anime artists don't use their imaginations to their full potential and instead go with a japanese-default, as they've practically been conditioned by anime and manga standards to do so.

I'm not saying YOU'RE doing this, 316, but I'm seeing more and more artists I know doing it, and its getting old to the point of redundancy. People need to start challenging themselves by breaking away or taking a new stance or they're just going to deliver more of the same and it won't stand out unless its truely special.

How people set up their characters and what people put into them is very telling, and I wish you the best, japanese name or not 🙂

I've kinda noticed that, but I'm not particularly annoyed by it. Names are usually the very least of an artist's worries in the comic industry. Unless the name of the character should eventually portray some hidden meaning or coincide with a character/object of interest in the story. And hey, if using a name based on the language of another country can help an artist to feel uniqe and inspired then they should do it without hesitation.

I try my best to keep things as unique as possible with names of my characters/places/objects. Hell I could bury you in the amount of printer pages i typed up of different words from languages all over the world that i kept playing around with in an attempt to come up with a name for Jipsy.

If i ever do end up using japanese based names for most of my characters it's not because i have lack of imagination or because i'm copying what other artists do. I just happen to have been exposed to the japanese culture since I was a kid by my grandparents, and have always loved the language. The use of vowels especially is always so delightfully simple yet graceful that I can never get enough of it.

Perhaps this frustrates me so much because I'm one of the few people I know who are daring to use non-asian themes in their works (whether in entirety or in part).

While ANY manga work (either intentionally or unknowning) will probably end up having some japanese influence (baring art style), I haven't seen very many artists trying something different.

I also know what you're going through. Naming a character is much more than just naming a characters. Theres so many facets to consider or that you can consider. Its pretty frustrating sometimes, and you always hope and pray you've chosen a name that will stick with that character regardless of the changes they'll go through. This is especially true if the story starts off with them as kids or babies.

As for a name, I think Neko might be good, or Neko-chan. It's kind of a cute sounding name, which befits her, and the meaning fits her catgirl nature. Just a thought.

Great new girl! Only thing I would change is to remove that middle black strip (cant get to her ticklish belly button). Also a question, from you post Jipsy and Yuri will not be tickled anymore? If so maybe a final full body Yuri pic (like on a rack with Jipsy finally administering the tickling instead of getting it or both in a farwell to tickling pic) Just asking!! Anywho great job, love your work and look for forward to whatever you do!!

How about Saya as a name? It's mystryious without being too villinous. Ok, I admit, I stole it from Blood +, which by the way, is an excellent anime. Can't wait to see this cat-girl being tickled 316. Shame about Jipsy not being tickled anymore, but if the comics mainstream, it's better to be safe and all that...

Could we have a kind of bio for this cat-girl like we did for Jipsy? Not even her life story, just general ticklish spots would do. 🙂

Samyueru: Saya might work. I'll think about it ^^ thanks! As for Jipsy and Yuri...don't worry. I've already scripted a few really nice tickling scences for each of them in the comic. They're just scenes that will take place for comedic value not for fetish.

And sure i'll work on a bio for this new girl once I decide on her name.

I can't be of any help with the name (thank goodness others aren't so stymied), but I am anxious to see Little Miss ? in action! A super-sweet design (she seems most willing, too!)... that wine purple fur motif and skimpy ebony outfit are an intoxicating combination! The cute little bell ("come 'n' get it, boys!") is another endearing feature!

She won't make me forget Jipsy... you never forget your first love... but I'm sure I'll come to love her just as much!
