Possible to not be ticklish then suddenly become ticklish??

Is it possible for someone to never be ticklish but actually be ticklish in certain situations? I'm wondering if someone who's not ticklish was captured by someone and was tied up in the woods for example and blindfolded who couldn't see the ticklers if that would actually make them ticklish?

It really depends on the situation and the person. Some people are just not ticklish at all and never will (boring people, lol) but some others mights not be usually ticklish unless you catch them off-guard or once they're in certain situations.

i knew a girl that wasn't ticklish unless she liked a guy as a friend or boyfriend. so i am guessing its possible if a lee realistically lets their guard down. I'm not a lee so thats just my guess.

I spent about nineteen years of my life thinking I was genuinely not ticklish because when growing up whenever people wanted to tickle me I didn't feel safe to let my guard down and show weakness. Then my now-husband got hold of me, made me feel safe...suffice to say I am truly ticklish 😀 So yes, it's possible and the psychology behind it is fairly simple--a simple matter of the 'lee feeling safe or not, frequently.

As a couple people here have pointed out the situation and level of comfort can make a difference. I've also heard some people that used to smoke say that they become more ticklish once they stopped smoking. Don't know why that would make a difference but the people said they believe that once they stopped smoking their circulation improved making their skin more sensitive.
