Little Stevie Wonder - "Fingertips (Parts I & II)" (1963) Stevie is just 12 years old when he performed this in 1963... his very first #1 hit, by the way.
 
For some reason this song reminds me of NH. So, I will make this my (prolly) only post in this thread.. because I'd just want to add songs that really mean something to me. Not just for the sake of adding songs.

When you get to be my age (46) there's bound to be a billion songs that mean something to you, Crystal. But I'll be honest and admit that it's kind of an ego trip to post songs that lots of people will be listening to (or ignoring, depending on their tastes). I'd like to think one of the songs I've posted brought back memories for someone or maybe I've helped turn someone on to one of the bands/performers whose music I've posted. Thanks to badreligion, I'm thinking of going out and buying a couple of Iron Maiden CDs!

Luther Vandross - "The Impossible Dream" (circa 1994) My favorite version of this song actually was sung by Jim Nabors in an episode of "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C." back in 1967 or so, but since that scene isn't available on YouTube, I'll submit this version by the late, great Luther Vandross.

Nice choice Crystal ...and I agree with feather I'm older than him 53 and I too have lots of songs that mean a lot to me too. Perhaps we may go over the top a little. But there is such a wealth of fine music out there. I too hope that our choices indeed do inspire people as well as yours. Thanks for posting🙂

This was a very special song for me years ago and I haven't heard it in a while now.

Yeah, I do agree with featherfingers and brianspenser - this thread is great for being reminded of special songs as well as listening into some music you've never heard before.
