Because I’ve been reading around that *many* TMF members are officially musical, I just thought of putting up this thread so we can (maybe) share our side creations. Let’s rock and roll, have fun, cut it out, post here and give some background on “how we do it”. Serious and non-serious music lovers, chime in because I realize, music is inherent among the kinky people.

EDIT: [attachment deleted, my apologies. Music really doesn't work too much around here. Thanks to Artoo & Paranoid Chant for posting their youtube links.]

EDIT 2: Alright, thanks for bumping this thread. See "Edit" dates.

Since I am the host of this thread and I removed my attachment, it is a shame if there won't be anything coming from me, so I am putting up links of my official one-chick band musical creations:

^ I have done all the musical tracks, both analog and digital, using Cakewalk Sonar.

I'm definitely watching this thread.

I LOVE getting to know people by their art.

This is up in my blog already, but I figure I'll post it here anyway. This is a music video I made for one of my songs:

Freaky Armadillo Man, Won't you take my hand?

I first recorded this on an old Fostex 1/4" 8 track reel-to-reel in my rehearsal space.
Then I dumped it into my first ProTools Digi 001 and just left it alone from there.
No extravagant bells and whistles. Just basic signal processing gear and one nice microphone.

Thanks for keeping this thread alive. I was...umm.... I put my site links this time at the start of the thread. Sorry I won't be attaching the first original file I posted in the past for a reason that it has been used already. Check my "edit" note. Again this thread is important to me, and I hope to see more from TMF musicians, both pro and amateur.

When I was close to calling this thread a failure...

Wow! I was hybernating somewhere and the resurrection of this thread made me post again! :cheer:

^ Heard it! What a nice voice you got. The effects lift the ambiance of your rendition. I really appreciate your flair with voice and instrument, combined, and your capacity to mix and present it.

<object style="height: 344px; width: 425px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZNTq7DoKvUQ"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZNTq7DoKvUQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></object>

^ Great mix as always. Been hearing your works from the past with such techno arrangements and flavor. Quite curious on the patches that you use, but hearing them audible and good enough, they are organized and well put up! All of the pictures of DJ appearances you do that I see around are really summed up by what I heard here. No self-aggrandizing... just pure musical passion and power.

^ What a sweet voice! Seeing it "live" on video as accompanied on keys is a definite plus. I really appreciate the spontaneity. That's really cool!

^ Whew! From how you just put the brief technical background descriptions of your soundcloud link explained unseen complexities, but the output is just PRO (!) - having compiled/done your music with ProTools (drools - it's big leagues before I can set my small hands on it) and as you said with "no extravagant bells and whistles" reinforced the masterful musical skills behind each tracks. I heard them all and they are great original pieces! *curtsy* :rockingout:

Why Thank You Young Lady!

Looking forward to hearing some of your work as well.

SoundCloud is a great tool for sharing.
Even if the player isn't supported, it's easy to link to and use.

Here are the links to the others if anyone cares to give them a listen:

^ Welcome, Mr. B8er. I like your guitar works and effects. The clean sweep arpeggios distinctly make each songs a lot with such ethereal and kinda gloomy after feel... just the way I prefer music in minor progressions. Nice staging of each tracks in the mix, and they are thematically defined by over-all sound. Was it from one album? No need to answer. How can I dissect these stuff better? I'm not so much an authority on that, but reviewing creative stuff is enjoyable thing to do. I do it a lot at the art section. Doing it for music is quite the same.

The bass lines of Armadillo Man is just solid, short and punchy. But I like them slapped a lot running a race in between subtle "delay" effects all throughout in the song Wish U Were Here. Powerful, grating vocals! It's been generous of you to share it here.

^ Thanks for sharing your music of choice. I like your musical taste. You see, I can't determine if I would prefer Dream Theater's cover of this specific song or this. But it sorta revived Queensryche to me.

Meow,Meow,Meow..

Thanks for sharing this cat video. It's fun stuff.

More please? Covers will do.

I'm not the best singer or the best guitarist, but this is probably the best I've done thus far. I'm still learning and my voice will never be what I'd like it to be, but meh. Not hard to cover a Bob Dylan song.

Don't be too harsh with the criticism. 🙂

To Annie Hall: Not bad at all. Sounds to me like you're playing in E, and using bar chords. Your meter is consistent. Vocally, you're nailing all the notes and your guitar playing is unfaltering.

You've definitely got talent.

Thanks 🙂 Up until now, I've only let people I'm close with hear my recordings, however lame or good they may be. I attribute it more to practice than talent. Shit, I can't even figure out how to tune my guitar right.

Thanks for the kind words. 🙂

I really like the Beatles.

This is me playing Lady Madonna on my ancient upright piano, recorded with my PDA.

They all are Amazing Emily! I found "At Last" and your voice melted me!
And chain of fools was excellent too! I'd like to hear you sing that with a full band, horn section and all!

Well done!

And badreligion! Up the Irons my friend!!
I can't wait to see them again this summer!
We shall go on to the end, we shall defend our island whatever the cost may be....

I figrued if I commented I should post something as well

Here's one from the band i'm in, I'm the singer, but I'm no Emily!!!
