I see. I figured you were kinda busy though with your own series you wanted to work on like Record of Lodoss War, Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Love Hina, etc. to be taking requests yet.

Still I think that is kinda a hard question to ask most fans. I wonder how HDS shall handle it.😀
 
Well don't get me wrong though, I'm willing to explore other animes. And as far as requests go, I'm backed-up in them. I've lost count of how many I had. I think it was 5. But I do remember drawing out 2 of them. I think its only 3.

You can answer it too if you want. I like being random like this.
 
I see. I was hoping you'd still focus more on those series since I just recently saw Record of Lodoss War TV + the OAV. Have you ever seen Legend of Crystania? It is supposed to continue on with Pirotess and Ashram.

Requests? ><; Usually I can remember how many they were since I usually pay attention to them, to see if I knew the series, but apparently I can't remember for some reason now.

Well my favorite anime girl is Pai, and you've already done her after all.
 
Ara, I still will. In fact, theres a couple Lodoss War pictures in the update. As far as your watching the series, I hope you watched the OAV first. If not, its not that big a deal, unless of course you like seeing the present/future first and the past second. Sort of like what Lucas is doing with Star Wars.

No I haven't seen that series yet, but I've been told and have seen that it has nothing to do with Lodoss at all. Its a spin-off series. I believe I've talked about this before on this site some time ago.

And also, just because I've drawn Pai once doesn't mean I won't draw her again. Shes one of those cutesy anime girls. How can you resist drawing that? 🙂
 
Well now I'm even looking more forward to the update if thats possible.

I watched the OAV first, then the TV series. I don't think it would have worked out otherwise since as I recall the TV series picks up after the War of Heroes. It changes it as well. It has been a while, so I'm a bit rusty on it.

Well it does have something to do with the series. It is Ashram and Pirotess trying to find a new home for the Marbule, but there appearance is different. And Ashram is sealed somehow.

True, I remember you had a requested drawing of her tickling Hong Nyong, and then Ran Pao Pao tickling her? I remember some debate about the nudity that would portray with RPP.

Well its good to know I'm not the only one who has a weakness for the cutesy ones.

Yeah, I know what its about. But it doesn't have anything to do with Lodoss with the exception of two characters. So technically, its a spin-off series. And its Marmo. ^__^

As far as that tickling picture, yeah thats true. If I were to draw it it would count as adult material and I'd have to move my group to the adult section so I wouldn't run the risk of being shut down (like CC is being). I also don't want the stigma of being labeled as a pornographer or adult-oriented/hentai artist, since neither of those things are true. And its also simply that I wouldn't want to move the group over one picture. Its not worth it, and I'd be attracting a different group if it were to be in the adult section.

Cutesy cutesy, yesy yesy! 😀

Yeah, I figured I was going to say it incorrect. Marmo for future reference. Yeah, that may be correct, but I always found Ashram and Pirotess to be more interesting then Parn or Deedlit generally, so I'll probably get it anyway.

I could have sworn CC was in the adult section as well, but I guess he wasn't then.😕

Yeah cutesy anime girls like Pai, Lime, Nuku Nuku, Mink, etc.
 
I find them more interesting too. I think the reason alot of people would agree is because they are more physical with eachother (at least in the pictures). The two of them share a connection that is denied and eventually revealed when they are fighting Shooting Star in the OAV. Parn and Deedlit are the same thing, we just don't see that same closness except for one scene where Parn gives Deedlit a white rose. Thats perhaps the strongest point of their CURRENT relationship. In the anime, the romance of both "couples" are a tease.

I said CURRENT relationship because the manga "Deedlit's Tale" is all about her and Parn getting closer together. At this point, they acutally live together, and in the second volume they share their first kiss (or is it the first? We don't really know.)

The biggest difference between the two couples is that Deedlit and Parn are shy about it, and Ashram and Pirotess are open about it, but never directly say how they feel.

As far as CC, maybe I'm wrong. I can't remember whether or not his group(s) were in the adult section or not. If they were, then this is even more of a crime because he was following the rules and he was still punished.

Yes, yes, yes and yes. I'm planning to draw a whole lot of cutesy anime girls. In fact, I'll plain just make a whole update with nothing but cutesy girls.
 
Yeah from the pictures I've seen there far more intimate. That may be the majority reason, but I always prefer the darker characters, the "haunted" ones if you will. Ashram carrying on Emperor Beld's will. I don't know if that was the strongest scene in Deedlit's and Parn's relationship. In the OAV when Wagnard/Vagnard had Deedlit captured and Parn tried desperately to get her back.. Well, that was pretty dramatic.

Hmm, oh really? There is a sight that is hosting the Record of Lodoss War various mangas, and it has that. It should be an interesting read then.

Yeah, although Parn is primarily the cause of the shyness, shown easily in the first episode of the OAV with his actions towards Deedlit.

Although, I admit I like the ending for Pirotess and Ashram in the TV series better, due to them while being alive, rather than dying.

I suppose we could always ask CC. Although I'm pretty sure they were. My group is.

Nothing but cutesy girls? Are there any really cutesy ones in the Irresponsible Captain Tylor. I remember one brunette that is probably Tylor's main love interest from an AMV at a convention...
 
Alot of people go for the "dark loves" of anime. Its an enchanting thought because if evil can love, then what is evil? Another point I'd like to make is that Ashram isn't evil anyways, hes just being influenced by evil and/or corrupted people while being personally ambitious. I wouldn't even call Beld evil. The manga "Lady Of Pharis" shows the past, even before the battle in the labyrinth. Beld is by no means evil, hes just been corrupted by the loss of someone he himself loved. In fact, the only reason hes the way he is now is because he slew the demon king, and wasn't prepared to take the test like Ashram is in the OAV. There was no time to react. And while Beld isn't "possessed", he is influenced by the demon sword, as is Ashram. Furthermore, Vagnard is the only evil one among the three.

As far as the end scene being more dramatic, I agree. What I was implying about the "white rose" scene is that it was the most romantic scene in the anime. If you want to call it that. Its only rivialed by what happens to Pirotess and Ashram.

Maybe I should move my group then. I don't know...

ICT does have several cute and sexy women in it. Its one of the reasons I chose to start drawing from it. Lt. Commander Yuriko Star is who you mean, FYI.

Of course not that is obvious, they merely have different views on the matter. Evil is in the eye of the beholder. Vagnard however is just the insane person trying to plunge everything into chaos once more with Kardis.

What was the white rose scene again? It sounds familar yet I can't recall it right off the bat. I'll probably remember it once you mention it.

Ah, so that is her name. I considered getting it, but unfortunately my pocket money is rather low anime wise. So much to get after all.

Have you by chance scene any previews for Rune Soldier? Its Ryo Mizuno ( I believe that is his name) 's new work.
 
I can't remember the scene myself at the moment. All I can remember is that its in King Kashue's castle after the battle at Fire Dragon Mountain. The King and the rest are discussing what new evil is coming to power on Marmo, since scouts report something is happening there. Shiris mentions its not Beld or Ashram because they are both dead (assuming Ashram is). Its after this scene, in the same room that this happens with Parn and Deedlit.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor is a good series, which also has an OAV which completes it. I'd suggest you buy the dvd box sets rather then volume by volume. Your actually saving money this way, and you get a nice collector's box for them.

No, I haven't seen it yet. But I like the artistry. Its a more confident buy when you're fimiliar with the original author/artist.
 
I'll probably have to rewatch it. I'm not ringing any bells.

Oh of course, It is on my anime wish list, I remember researching it a while ago. My pocket money is just rather sparse, and my favorite creators are releasing stuff, so its sort of on the backburner for now.

Well you are familar since you've seen Record of Lodoss War. I'm pretty sure its the same illustrator, it was for Legend of Crystania as well. There pretty much a team as I recall. The reviews seem to favor it, although it appears to be a comedy based one. Go figure.
 
It seems so unusual after watching Ryo Mizuno's Record of Lodoss War that he could change from something so heavy to so lighthearted. Oh well, whenever I see it I doubt I'll complain.
 
It getting harder these days to find good, quality anime that delivers in every way you want.

I'm pretty picky about my anime. I practically demand excellence. Sure, it does limit the intake of anime I watch, but it does insure I'm watching the best japanese animation has to offer.

As far as the update, I'm not sure. It might be sooner or later. See, the problem is is that I have the pictures drawn, but alot of them aren't finished. If they were I would have scanned them as soon as I could and the update would have already happened.

I'm not sure if people would mind or care whether or not the update is big, or broken down into managable parts. This is actually more up to the members and fans then it is to me.
 
I suppose. Exellence though. I usually investigate an anime highly before I buy it, or its done by a beloved creator for me. Most mediocre anime though is cheap.

So does that mean you've sketched the pictures and half to ink them?

Well, I suppose that calls for a poll vote at your group on deciding how the update is then.

I was curious since artists tend to arrange updates by dates like holidays or anniversaries.

@ FF7Tickler- Yeah. Alot of anime is like low-budget movies that are comprized of nothing but special effects and little to no plot. Its just made to sell and make a quick buck. I've noticed that alot of these new animes are actually copying elements from other series. And the last thing we need is for anime to be watered down.

I don't ink my pictures. I use only a No.2 mechanical pencil, actually. If it looks like its inked, then I guess its technique on my part.

As far as a poll, its pointless. I know people want my art now. Not later, now. I can almost feel their impatience. As far as how other artists do it, you've probably noticed I'm not like that. I draw when I draw and I update when I'm finished. I don't hold off for long periods of time like some of the others do. I don't feel thats good strategy. Also, I'm not being a hypocrite, because I was gone for 6 months. That doesn't count. 😛


@ HDS- Whats that supposed to mean? He's just one member. Thats hardly a site. 😛
