What are your thoughts on this fast uprising of Pro-Eating Disorder websites that are poping up non stop on the web at an alarming rate?

websites that are promoting approval of young kids and teenagers starving themselfs and having messages on there websites that thin is in and being really really super skinny and not eating at all is better then being heavy and fat.

Like everything else, a balance is in order. Extremely heavy or extremely thin are both unhealthy, but more important, they're both unattractive.

FUCK EM!!!

What kind of values do we have in America where a bunch of rich white kids cry that there too fat when they weigh 97lbs and in other countries they weigh that much due to lack of food! They dont want to eat? I say FUCK EM!!!!😡

i think it's terribly sad that young men and women can't be taught thru media images to be happy with their body types. there has to be some way to counteract all the skinny is in crap that is shown on television, movies, internet, books, magazines etc(ugh that's a long list of stuff to wade through to find the good, but somebody has to)...and i'd like to point out that eating disorders don't know economic stature, sex or race...everybody can be affected by them in one way or another (whether it's overeating, undereating, starving or bulimia).

Yeah but i mean how do we reach theses youngters with eating disorders?

i mean i can't think of anyways that would solve all there problems. besides LOVE that is only true answer i can come up with 🙂 is Love.

Love and acceptance are good, the problem is getting that message across, teenagers want to know that they are loved and accepted(okay i passed that stage about 10 years ago but i still remember what i was like)...but if you crowd and bombard them with "i love you" all the time they may get defensive and put their backs up.

And with websites like theses and run way models and fashion magazines. there being run down by images and messages like theses non stop in movies and tv and videos etc.... on daily day to day basis. it's a real sad thing crisis. but it's reality and people go through stuff like this. but there no different then anybody else they still matter and are still humans we shouldn't see them as any different or any less human. i'm just glad that there are people in this world of ours and clinics to help people with eating disorders for people they truely 120% want help and to be able to fight back and win there eating disorder battles (no matter what type of eating disorder you might have)
