Producers, how'd you approach your FIRST model to get your store started?

Hey video producer guys, I've got a big question for you:

How'd you get that very FIRST, or even few first models, to star in that first tickle video?

Did anyone turn you down until you found the first one who said yes?
Did you get any hostile, or overly hostile reactions when asking the ones who said "No?"
Did anyone even say no, or were you immediately successful?

And how'd you pay them, or how was THAT all handled? "Hey babe, let me tickle you, I'll pay!" I'm sure it wasn't presented like THAT, but I've always been curious about the whole "Let me tickle you and put it up online," and the reactions, both negative and positive that generates...

How DID you first ask, and second ask, and their ask......it's amazing when you can use the right words, what you can get done.

I've always been curious, and if I ever want to start my own store, or all the other guys who want to start their own store......that's probably the biggest concern/thought that they think about!

This is something I would dearly love to know 😀 always wondered about it????

Well, I don't know about other producers - particularly in the states, but I've never really approached anyone directly. I've always advertised as professionally as I can and then discussed details with girls that have got in touch. Far better to talk to models who have got off their own back and shown an interest than chasing people to do shoots....even the most (seemingly) enthusiastic girls can turn out to be really flaky and let you down at the last minute, but if I was having to persuade people to shoot I wouldn't expect them to turn up at all!

Other people have found models for me of course, and many models tell their friends and other models they work with, and word of mouth etc so (thankfully) I usually have way more people contact me than I could realistically work with or even respond too! 🙂

- I advertised.
- Discussed what the shoot was about with her when she responded.
- Hired her after I determined she was a good fit.

Nothing special really.

I put an ad on craigslist, saying I was looking for 2 or three very ticklish models for a video shoot. Initially I put it in the talent gigs section, but a few women thought an ad for models in a tickle video had nothing to do with tickling them on camera (odd?).
I then later put them only in the "adult gigs" section. About a week after that ad, I got a reply from three different women. After I gave them more details about the nature of the shoot and what was expected; one committed. There was a huge snowstorm the night before, but she came to the shoot on time, with a chaperone. We talked for a few minutes about what my objectives were. I asked her what she wanted to get out of this. I have a very strict rule; I will not do a video with someone who is doing it because they are desperate for money. People end up regretting things like that. I will not take advantage of a woman like that. After she told me why she was interested, we did the video. After that, she actually would e-mail prospective models as a "reference" that I was safe and the shoot was fun. Now all my models help in he recruitment process if asked.
I hope that helps!

Wouldn't it be better to have that conversation before the girls show up at your place? 🙂

Not a guy, but... 🙂

I put up a sign on the ad board of one of our downtown adult shops, and a very sweet lesbian couple answered; we shot the following week, it was a very fun first experience for all of us 🙂

I was only referring to the initial model. I always make it clear in my initial e-mnail to the prospective models that I will not let them do the videos if they are doing it out of desperation.

Well, of course then they won't admit that that's why they do them. 🙂

You'd be surprised. I have turned away at least 4 prospective models for that reason. Usually, when I get an idea that they are not really interested in having fun with the shoot, I let them know my policy. Every time, they have immediately admitted their motives and just as quickly agreed that it was a bad idea. Maybe i've been lucky.
