Public Tickle Stocks

Have you ever seen public tickling at a renfair before? I know it's more common in Europe than the US. I saw it once at a festival but it was teasing for a photo that both sides were in on. Is there actual like "person is put into locked stocks and tickled on their feet"? Does that actually happen?

Also final question: If there WAS a public tickling thing like that where anyone can be a lee or ler would you do it?

Seen it and done it more than a few teims when I was involved with Renaissance Festivals. Everyone was in on it, of course, and it wasn't as involved as the Canelli antics. Everyone had a lot of fun,

Yes I would volunteer to be put in stocks if I ever came across it. I've been in a pillory before and got soaked with wet sponges which was fun but slightly embarrassing . It would be interesting to see how I would react to being tickled while exposed in public like that as I'm quite an introvert and would be sure to draw a crowd as my feet are very ticklish, there is no way I could resist laughing and thrashing about in that situation😛.

It was, although most of the stuff that happened wasn't TMF worthy. We'd sell "arrest warrants" ($5 for 10 minutes in the stocks), and it was all harmless and comical. It was a great way to meet women who were either ticklish, or liked to ham it up while pretending to be.

Does anyone know if the Canelli Refairs still exist? Or does anyone know of other renfairs occurring in Europe? Just got my second dose of the vaccine and I'm ready to travel again. ;-)
