Thanks Jen and dvnc. Nice to see you're closer to home now, Jen. ( I hate driving to NJ! LOL)
I'm familiar with the one in Albany, as I almost made it to last year's but cancelled due to a medical thingy. I'm going to make it a priority to get to this year's.
As far as farther North, if there are any of you in the border area (Plattburgh, Burlington...etc,) who'd like to possibly get together or talk, feel free to E-mail me!

Of note for you, being that you're fairly direct and bold, is that you could likely arrange to have one hosted in your own home.
I still travel about to help folks get these started. West Coast Gatherings are in multiple states now. All it took was showin' up in other places to co-host with someone willing to host guests.
I'll back you up, should you want to host, and want such. I'm certain that there are others that would, too. It's easier when you've a few there that you know will have your back. Just makes a body FEEL better about hosting. There are many that can help. It's a matter of who you wish to allow to help you. Choose who feels right to you, and host, brother.
That goes for the rest of ya. If you want to host, drop a line, here or to me directly, by mail. It's not hard, and such social events benefit our community. Folks are surprisingly behaved. There are defined methods for screening potential attendees, arranging for moderators at events (I regularly have at least one at each event).
Something to consider. It's a fine thing to socialize among your own. Finer still is when you get to safely play consentually, knowing someone's lookin' out for ya.

Size ain't a reason not to have such an event, darlin'. If your home can fit 4 people, you're apt to be able to host the 4 closest visitors. It all depends on how sociable you are, of course, and how much you want to play. In your case, given that you're sociable and playful, the only other mitigating circumstance is noise level.
A number of events have been in apartments and hotel rooms. As with everything else, size doesn't always count, it's just helpful. 😉
OTOH, desire to host DOES count, and one shouldn't feel OBLIGATED to host, nor should one succumb to pressure about such. Host if you feel good about it, otherwise, don't. There's, so far, more hosts with room available at every event, coast to coast, in the last year. I've only been to one event that didn't have extra space, quite frankly, and had not seen that volume of people of our interest before, nor since.
Don't let a small hosting space make you feel hosting's not possible. Folks attending a gathering aren't about to dis your home's size. Not without having the rest of the event stuff 'em in a trashcan and kick it up and down the block, anyway. Once you've got a dozen folks in a hotel party, you stop having doubts about space.

For example, one lady doesn't like her knees squeezed because it causes her pain. Another doesn't like her belly button messed with. Some of the folks do not want people of the same sex to tickle them. Each person has specific preferences or concerns. If they are not monitored it destroys the scene for that person so we carefully monitor the scene.
We also address things like health issues. If someone has asthma, we will make sure their medicine is out and ready just in case.
So if Dave is going to offer to help... I will too! We can provide you with lots of assistance to get the gathering organized and if necessary we can probably be there to help out. Just let me know if you'd like to talk more about doing a gathering and we'll send you all kinds of information.

Actually, this IS a tickling discussion, and as such, it's viable here. It isn't the first discussion to encourage groups of ticklephiles to meet, and hopefully won't be the last!

Mind ya, if the Tzar says no more gatherings posts in the Tickling forum, they'll stay away. I do appreciate your attention to the posts in the gatherings section, though, sir.
Oh, and QBWeaver, you forgot the West Coast Gatherings website, at http://members.aol.com/gatheringswc/, and I'm certain that if anyone gets an event announced to me, it'll be there, too. That site's also where the aforementioned Questionairre is found. It wasn't my idea, either. Those have been being used in certain bdsm circles for a long, long time. I just altered it to include relevant questions for our interest.
When you actually want to START such an event, though, please do adhere to the rules here, and post your announcement in the appropriate area of the Gatherings section. It's divided by locations. If you feel yours spans locations, post in multiple locations. An example of this would be a post for a hypothetical Florida gathering, which could apply to both the East Coast AND the South.

Don't feel like fishin' the link? It's a great review of a gathering, called "The NYST Tickle gathering this past weekend...", posted 8/22, and commented on by many here until 9/16. Knowin' how stuff has been vanishin' oddly, I copied it to my drive, in case anyone wants a peek, and it vanishes. Gotta love preventative measure.
Clearly, kiddies, if it's relevant to tickling, it's relevant here, so long as we play nicely.
