Question about SIms PC

I bought House Party, so I could have the throw a party option, but after I installed everything, it still wasnt an option, so do I have to reinstall? Or does it come with a different expansion pack? Also, is there a telescope? I cant get my sims to play chess for anything so I was hoping to get them to increase their logic by using the telecope instead

If You Installed It

Over a later version (for instance you already had Sims Vacation on your PC) you'll have to uninstall everything then install them in order. The game manual tells you that.

Telescope should have come with Living Large. It's a cool item, but I think the chess board is better, imo. It offers group play for one and constant use will not result in the alien abduction of your character, scrambling their personalities and forcing them to always talk about aliens.

ohhhh the depressed clown comes when your sims motives are totally red...they are seriously mad at you etc...and the clown comes and unsuccessfully cheers them up...to get rid of the clown you have to call the clown catchers to come round him up...p.s he'll also show up if you go on vacation and your sim is in the red

For the clown, you need the Sad Clown painting for him to appear. Once he shows up there are only 2 ways to get rid of him that I know of.

1) Raise the average motives of the family out of the red

2) The fun way: Place the painting over a fireplace or something and let it burn. When the painting goes up in flames, so does the clown. <-- Kinda like this, but no more clown afterwards.

Also if you have the clown burger stand in Hot Date and the clown shows up there something unique is supposed to occur.

my one sim would go into the kitchen, and, even though all his housemates had 3 or 4 cooking skills, he's always get lit on fire during kitchen fires; he didnt die, but he refused to go into the kitchen if anyone else was in there after 2 or 3 times of getting ignited
