Question about Tony Stark's Iron Man Armor...

How the heck does Tony Stark control all the functions of his power armor (like foot rockets and such) in so short amount of time. Maybe he has like a neural up-link or something (through his mini-arc chest reactor)? I must google this...

The movies. It just amazes me that they portray him doing stuff without having to input verbal commands. Maybe there's command thingies in his armored gloves (like little buttons or something)? Huh.

I first saw Iron Man in the mid 1960s. He was one of the five regulars on "The Marvel Super Heroes" cartoon on Saturday mornings, along with The Hulk, Captain America, Thor, and (of all choices) the Sub-Mariner. In those days, Tony would press buttons on his wrists to activate his repulsor rays, kind of similar to Space Ghost. It was never made clear to me me how he activated his rocket boots. I just assumed he had hidden pressure pads in his gauntlets or something.

In the movies, Tony's armor is loaded to the gills with software, run by an operating system called Jarvis. My understanding is that Tony and Jarvis have developed such a rapport, that usually Jarvis knows what to do without needing to be told. Alternatively, there could be any number of physical triggers, like finger motions. Of course, the flying is another matter. Tony had to develop that skill, kind of like riding a surfboard.
