I was curious to why you retire videos.I understand that older videos become less popular and are probably not worth keeping a large supply of them, but why not keep one or two and produce more copies if needed?I can think of at least five or six off the top of my head that I would definately buy if they were available. As more people discover the internet and tickling media it is like a whole new target group for businesses. From a business point of view I dont see why you take a possible profit completely off the market. You might only sell one or two more but that is still profit.Aside from that, you guys rock and produce some kick ass videos.

This is an interesting question. No answers? Just wondering.

hi. i'll answer this again for all the newer members. its for quite a few reasons but the major reason is that we want to keep the stock room, the video list, and this TC business small. we are prepared to accept the fact (and do every day) to take loss in profit because we want to stay small. 🙂

Can't argue with that.
I can't imagine why a business would voluntarily surrender profits so that they can "stay small." In these tough times, there are many businesses that wish they had GREATER profits, or, in fact, any profits at all. IMO, "tak(ing) loss in profit" is the best way to go out of business. 😎

Let me take a swing at this (all I say is my musings alone, not based on any real knowledge of what TC's reasoning is):

This assumes that TC is the main way that The TiB & Kathy make their living. It might be that they both have 'real' jobs and TC is a hobby that has grown into a business. They might have no desire to put all their job eggs into the risky marketplace that is fetish videos, and can't take more time from their 'real' work lives (and personal relaxation time also) for the tickling business. So they have decided to keep things at a managable level by keeping the number of active videos small. Think of TC as a hobby that pays for itself in this mode. They get to have tickle fun, meet some great models and bondage folk, and practice video editing and composition. Not a bad deal.

There is also a case to be made about the costs of having copies of all videos ready for ship (space mostly) and such. Degrigation of Master tapes might play a part also.

I'm a member of the keep it all in print school myself, but to each business I'll say, do it your way. Tis the whole reason for being one's own boss 🙂

Myriads...

Damn...wish I knew what you did for a living a few years ago! I disposed of about 10,000 comics, dating all the way back to the 60's, and highlighted by a complete Legion Of SuperHeroes set, including the Substitute Legions own mags...ended up giving them to area hospitals because just about all our Book Stores have gone out of business here! It's all about timing....sigh. Q

EXACTLY! 🙂

Hobby?

Damn...that beats golf all to hell and back..lol! 😉 Q

just a side note. we find it quite amazing that some people want to hang us for deciding to keep this business small. 😕 😕 as if to say "you dont have the right to discontinue videos and just keep it simple" or "you should either keep every video you ever made up for sale or don't sell any!"
🙂 please. let us make the decisions like that over here. 🙂

Well, I said it before, and I'll say it again:

Can't argue with that.
