question on sign-in

When you log on, there is a small block with a check that says "remember me". What exactly does this block do? just curious.

it remembers the cookie with your sign on name... since three members use this computer it is nice.

it makes it so you dont have to keep logging in every time you visit the forum, it will remember your name and password on your computer and automatically log you in.

Ah yes, good to know. I was wondering why even XP's password manager wasn't working with the TMF, even though it works for most other sites.
It's my blatant habit of deep-six'ing all cookies during my nightly shutdown.
No problem, my TMF password is painted on the ceiling in giant letters.
