Centerfielder Willie Davis, member of the World Championship Dodgers of 1963 and 1965, has died at age 69. Obituary below. Rest In Peace, Willie.

I remember being in Cincinatti the summer of 64. I went to the old Crosley
Field when the Dodgers came to town. Back then, you could get a ticket for
one dollar. I got the pleasure of watching Sandy Kofax and Don Drysdale
pitch. I remember watch Willie and the others go off the field into the
dugout and was amazed at how big they were. There were a lot of great
ballplayers on both of those teams. Pete Rose was a second baseman back
then. Frank Robinson and Vida Pinson in the outfield. Those were the days
when baseball was truly Americas pasttime. Thanks Willie.
