After seaching numerous websites and the entertainment section of the local paper, I could not find any news of R Kelly being aquitted. Might be true, might not. I did find news about Michael Jackson: "A two-month investigation uncovered no evidence to support allegations that Michael Jackson committed child abuse in the late 1980s in Los Angeles, police said Wednesday".

I heard it on the radio and saw it on my yahoo news, but it was just a blurb. A source/friend at BET said something about that awful video was discovered to have been so "enhanced" that they deemed it unusable as evidence against him. Further rumor is that it wasn't even him in the video 🙄

When the story first broke, I sort of got the impression the proof against him was fairly damning. I'll try to find more and post when I find something official. For all the ruckus this initially cost, I'm surprised at how quiet this resolution was...

Seriously though, AFA being in touch with music... There is little that I don't enjoy music wise. I'm very ecclectic in my tastes. I like big band, Sousa marches, jazz, some blues, musicals, a bit of opera, classical music, some of the older style country, Christian music, oldies (50s & 60s), a select variety of rock, the original rap, etc. About the only thing I don't like at all are things like acid rock and gangster rap that do little but screech and curse and push violence.

The thing with me and music is that I tend to hear something and either like it or not, but have no idea who it is since I don't bother to follow anyone in particular. I have to REALLY enjoy something a lot in order to bother checking to see who does it. For me, music is more of a background thing. It's something to listen to while I'm doing other things. While I may be in the mood for a particular type of music or a particular artist at times, I generally just listen to whatever may be on. When I'm home alone, I rarely have the TV or radio/stereo on. I enjoy the quiet. I never really did concerts at all either until Drew and I got together. I enjoy them when I go. But, I'd never bother on my own. It's just not something that's a big deal to me.
