I can imagine. I want to try the live action roleplay stuff they do around here, but the group is a bit wierd so I'm staying out of it. Shame, a real chance to wear some stuff there 😛 .

Both suits were made out of metal, as I'd like to remark.

I had personally made the hauberk out of iron rings overnight.

I cheated though, and I used the simpler arabic 5-rings array.

You see...

Arabs were smarter than their contempourary foes, the Franks and Normans.
They had simpler, sturdier hauberks, built around a reinforced central link, with 4 interlinked rings.

European mail had 5 or 6 around 1, and it required more resources, while affording, allegedly, a comparable amount of protection, at an overall higher weight too.

Wow, that was the best 12 pages of soap opera I've read in a long time. I laughed, I cried, and enjoyed my pocorn the whole time. As for both armor and Kimiko, I'm sure it's a matter of taste.

btw, i really gotta take a break from posting, addicted as it is, i need to start writing that Amy Lee story, i have it mostly planeed out, now for the grunt work of typing, if only my fingers typed as fast as my brain.
