There are already 7 spam threads in the general discussions forum alone. All or most of them have to do with her and all or most of them are continually bumped up (right now as I type this for example, all of them are at the top of the page). They stick out like a sore thumb now, and this may discourage people who actually have something to talk about from doing so (I'm not talking about myself but just anyone in general). If they can't see this particular forum as conversationally inviting or diverse, then they won't post for fear of their topics getting run down by these existing spam ones. They also won't post if they see this degree of silliness as the only thing thats taken seriously or with value.
I cannot possibly be the only one who thinks you guys are overdoing it at this point. It's not Kimiko's fault. She's merely a vessal and emissary through which this all transpires. Its not about who these threads are about or what they were originally about, but the fact that more and more of them are made, and that clone threads are made by these same individuals.
Literally, a small handful of people have overtaken and overrun this forum. You may think thats "cool" or "bitchin'" or whatever term you might use to discribe it, but I don't think it is any longer. There was a point where it was fine, but theres a point where it will become annoying.
This isn't an argument, an ultimatum, a threat, or anything like that. It is merely a kindly request
(not to Norm but to everyone involved) from one of your faithful, well meaning regular patrons to please cut down on these threads, please try and contain them to just a couple or a few, and please MODERATE yourselves! LOL. Seriously, these threads will be here tomorrow and the next day, and the day after that you don't need to nurse them.
Its so great to see this energy you have, but I don't feel its being channeled proportionately any longer.
Because my plea may fall on deaf ears, I would call upon the mods to at least hear me out and the situation I present. I'm not talking about censorship, thread deletions or even necessarily thread closures, since you folks aren't doing anything wrong and you are perfectly in the right for the most part. But this is getting out of hand...
And please none of this "its a hollowed tradition on this site". That may be, but not when it is occuring at this frequency. And if people start getting into their heads that this is "average" behavior on this site, or it's what is to be expected, or that this is what the general discussion forum is about, we are potentially making unnecessary sacrifices later.
