Hi, I joined more than a few months ago, but had to quit posting pretty quickly because of a moving hassle. I really liked the community and was glad to get back online so that I could chat with some kind hearted, like minded folks once more. My name is Paolo, I'm 21 years old, and... let's see... I'm very nerdy. That's about it.

Now I'm set up in sunny southern California, which reminds me, anyone in California know of large public gatherings for New Years (crazy gatherings a plus) down here? I was thinking of heading down to the Santa Monica boardwalk, at least, I'm assuming they'll be some fun to be had there. If anyone knows of a better idea, I'd love to know. I grew up here, but feel like the new guy again.

Okay, Swimmingbird, now that the silliness is out of the way, click "Home" on the TMF screen, scroll down to 'Gatherings' and then click on "West Coast" and you'll find threads dealing with upcoming events in sunny California. You might be able to PM someone there for more information... I used to know the e-mail address, but I live in Arizona...so why am I doing this!

Good to see you made it back. You always provide thoughtful, interesting posts. So, are you as fired-up as I am about Toho's final Godzilla opus! I hope it makes it onto the big screen here, but it probably won't.

Mimi, much obliged! You always were an amiable paragon of what people could be if we weren't always at each others' throats.

Featherfingers, likewise, always nice to meet a Lennon fan. I love the Beatles as well, but tend to listen to Lennon's solo stuff more often.

What's that Doctor? Final Godzilla? NOOOO!!!! What gives them the right?! If anyone takes him out, it better be King Ghidora. Not that I'm certain it would go down that way, but no one else could come close. The two monsters would be better suited for eternal battle as far as I'm concerned.

Yep, that's the word. On the anniversary of the big lizard's 50th, they're pulling out all the stops. Practically every monster from the films is supposedly in this one. They're gonna be crashing through Tokyo(natch) AND Paris, London, Moscow, etc...

While it DOES kinda seem sad that the giant radioactive galook is hanging-up his stompin' boots, I'd rather see him go out in his prime rather than hang around, crashing through small towns with a "walker".
