Hi guys 'n' gals, I don't know if this is a stupid idea or not, if it is please just let this thread die with dignity.

See, here's the thing, this forum seems to have the exact opposite problem of virtually every other site on the web, namely it has an excess of talent. Seems like every time I come on here with enough time to browse I find a story from someone I haven't read before that makes me go 'wow'. Sadly I suspect I'm missing a lot of very good work owing to the sheer number of stories posted here (case in point, only coming across TicklishVampire's work in the last couple of days). So I thought it might be a good idea to have somewhere to post recomendations, and preferably links, to any authors or even particular stories that have got buried further than a couple of pages back.

So, to start this off, I'd like to highlight the aforementioned ticklishvampire (Quick Search) , affectionatedan (Quick Search) , and ayla ny (Quick Search). All great writers and well worth the time to read through if you haven't already done so.

No, it's not a stupid idea, but...

...everyone's tastes vary, so our recommendations are gonna reflect what we enjoy reading, even though there's well-written material in here that doesn't necessarily tickle OUR fancy. AND, you wanker, anyone recommending YOU now is gonna sound like they're kissing your bum, thank you very much. Just for that, you're last on my list, even though I read your stuff more rabidly than anyone else who contributes here. 😛

These are some of my personal favorites. But don't take my word for it... check them out for yourselves!

Outstanding writers, each and every one. Enjoy!

Ah, but while it is true that the seeker may be led astry by the opinions of others, is it not also true that there is an equal chance that opinion may be exactly what the seeker is searching for and thus lead to enlightenment? And is it also not written that the last shall be first....?

my favorites

My two indisputable favorites (though there are legions of talented contenders) are Captain Spalding and Shemthepenman. Oh, yeah, and Strelnikov, too. All of them manage to develop interest in the characters and situations they describe without sacrificing the "good stuff."

There was also a really good author who posted maybe two stories and then quit. I think he was Australian, and he wrote about a guy who got some glasses that revealed where women were ticklish, and another story about a woman pretending to be dumb until a bridal party tickled away her deception. That guy was really good--wish he'd post again.

I'm rambling, aren't I?

Most of the people whose works I read frequently have thier collections in the Archive section, so there's a place you'd want to stop for a huge body of great fiction.

I also recommend Ayla's and Strel's work as they never cease to amaze. I've become a fan of BOFH recently as well, and I'm still catching up there. 😎
