Red Mage - a Few Kind words

After all the things I have seen recently on the TMF about this man (good and bad) and after meeting him in person at a gathering, and hanging out with him a few more times I thought I would say a few good words on his behalf.

Red Mage (aka Paul) is far from any kind of monster, not inhumane, not evil, not wicked, etc. He is the opposite of such things in my book. I tell you this from personal experience. If I felt he was ever any one of the afore mentioned things I would never let him into my house, my life, or around those I care about.

Paul is a wonderful teacher, a wise and learned person, amazingly skilled in BDSM and rope work. His words of wisdom and thoughts on various subjects has taught me many things and helped me to explore who I am and what I want. Anyone on the TMF who has an opportunity to meet or play with Paul should consider themselves fortunate for such an opportunity. He has shown more compasion in aftercare than many of the people I have played with in this community and out, and that is saying a lot.

I would encourage others not to judge him based on a few posts or images. Everyone has different likes or dislikes but that does not make them monsters. It is the thoughts and actions of a person that determines who they are. Paul has never demonstrated to me anything that would make me doubt the type of character he is.

I don't agree with everything he does or likes, but that is true of many people I know. I don't think its bad in general, just not right for me. I respect him for his ideas and he appears to do likewise.

I hope I don't embarass him too much with this praise. I had an opportunity for two group scenes this past Sunday which were amazing, I had a great time and am glad he asked me to be a part of it. I do hope that I will continue to learn from him. He is not the end all of knowledge but I do not take his words lightly. I have a great deal of respect for him.

I have been around the community a long time so I hope many of you listen to what I have to say. I feel I am a good judge of character most of the time, and Red Mage is quite a character!

Well I guess I am residing on my own planet as always---had no idea this gent needed some good words to counteract some bad ones. I hate bandwagons in general but it is early enoug in the thread for me to throw out my affection and respect for one cool, always outside the box, maverick who, (drumroll pleases) respects and accepts others as they are.

I've not had the luxury of meeting the fellow yet, but hopefully one day that chance will come, and I will be truly honored to be in his presence. This thread isn't about defending Redmage, it's just to say what a cool person he is. And he is, I've had the pleasure of PMming with him and I look forward to meeting him one day. It's always refereshing to know a Top who cares more about actually pleasing a lady than what some of society 'thinks' should please her. Or denying her what she wants because of his own hang-ups and insecurities. Redmage is a lovely man and very well educated concerning our mutual interests, and he is most definitely a gentleman.

You're complaining about the way he treats women? Well, I'm a woman, so let me describe how he treats me.

I've never played with anyone who's so attentive and considerate to what makes me feel good. Every session is an exploration into how to tickle me better and please me more.
