Red Sox or Cardinals

The winner will be the first team to win four games. 😛
Seriously, I don't much care now that the Dodgers have not advanced.

I agree with Mils. The Giants are not there this year so I do not care much who wins. I'll be pulling for the Cardinals since they crunched the dodgers, but if Boston won I wouldn't be disappointed. Both teams have had great seasons and I wish them both the best.

I really have no rooting interest in the World Series this year. I don't like or dislike either of the teams. If you put a gun to my head, I would pick the Cardinals...just because they always seem to pull these series out the last decade or so.

The Red Sox appear to be scant favorites and I hope they go all the way.

Should be an exciting series with two teams evenly matched. First time since 99 that the teams with the best record at the end of the season in each league made it to the World Series. And 4th time bees two teams have faced each other in the World Series. Cards have won 2 and Sox won 1.

Cardinals in seven. If Boston won it, it would be awesome as well. Two great teams and traditions. I remember when the entire civilized world in October stopped what they were doing and watched the World Series.

You're showing your age. :grandpa:

Red Sox in seven. SamuelKhan, I agree. When I was young, the World Series games would be one of the most watched programs. Now there are so many other programs/channels to choose from. Plus, I think that baseball just isn't as popular as it was when I was younger. Just my opinion.

Mane'o, records in regular season go out the window in the WS. In 99,. the Braves had home field advantage, and got swept. The only game of that World Series, that was really competitive, was Game 3, won by the Yankees in 10 innings. Also look at how many times Wild Card teams won the Series. the Marlins of 1997 and 2003 come to mind.

Back to the topic of this World Series.. My pick is Red Sox in seven. Many times the team with home field, except for the aforementioned Braves in 1999, does seem to prevail in the Series. I think this will be a close, tight World Series between two great teams.

I know the Sox have jumped on top quickly here in Game 1, but I swear I picked them before the Series started. I swear!

Cardinals got lucky in game 2. Next three at Busch will be a task for the Bosox in an NL park. It's now a best of 5.

Holy crap! When in fear of the home team scoring the winning run be sure to kick up your legs behind you and trip Allen Craig on his way to home. The umpire made the right call. Interference was the call, even it wasn't intentional. Whether it was intentional or not will be argued for YEARS.

Game Four ends on a pick-off? Really? :O If the winning run is balked home tonight,I`m running for the hills!!!

This series will go the distance. And when was the last time you saw a game decided by an obstruction call? And a game decided by a pick off? But Ortiz is the magic this October whichever way it goes.
