Regis's talk about tickling this morning made me think....

So, I was watching Regis and Kelly this morning when Regis tells a story about how his wife likes to have her ankles and feet tickled while they lay on the couch watching tv....and how their cat gets jealous and jumps on her feet in order to be patted in place of them.

It was a sweet little story and actually kinda cute when he said she is not happy when the cat gets in the way of the tickling, even though Kelly suggested he use one hand on each, the cat and the wife...lol. ((For those of you who are interested, it was rather amusing as well to see Kelly and him making "Tickle-Hands" as I call, them as they talked about the topic.))

It prompted me to wonder if any of you have known people who will casually admit they like the feel-good sensation of a tickling TOUCH, but who you doubt would ever say they like TICKLING. Oneof my roommates from years ago used to like her back tickled by her BF, because she liked to be touched in that feathery way,but a real tickling as so many of us like it would slay her.

Jsut curious if anyone's run into it? I could just be rambling....so this is where I stop. 😛

I knew a girl in HS that used to say that she loved to get the inside of her arm (from her wrist to the crook of her arm) "tickled" lightly. She would push her sleeve up and let her boyfriend do it all the time when other people were around. Funny thing was that she wasn't overly ticklish anywhere else. I guess it was because she wasn't very ticklish that she could take that kind of touch. I don't think that I could sit still for that on my arm.

I too love that light and feathery stuff anywhere! LOL I can't quite sit still, but I sure would try harder to stay than to get away!

Now, Moby...don't be like that. I'd be in big trouble if there were no ticklish men! Yikes...one of my favorite things to do is lightly tickle a man's back. Up and down with the tips of my fingers getting to know each delicate curve...each sumptious goosebump! Little warm puffs of air directing behind my tickling fingers seem to help too.

When I first got my job I was attending a conference with several hundred other people, and that night about twenty of us congregated in one of the motel rooms. With so many in the room we were lounging around all over the place, and there were at least three conversations going at any one time.

There were six or seven of us sitting on the same double bed shooting the breeze. I don't remember how it came up, but one of the women at the head of the bed complained that she had to beg her fiance' (to whom she is now married) to tickle her feet. This girl is/was gorgeous. I was surprised at how fast two other guys offered to help her with this problem!

No one got tickled, and I don't think the guys who volunteered were really into tickling, more into meeting the lady if you know what I mean. Being deep in the closet I didn't say much at the time, and it's never come up since. I still see this lady a couple times a month, and I think about that conversation every now and then.


When I think about it, several of my ex-girlfriends (in an attempt to relate to my thing for tickling) told me that they like to tickle babys, or they like to be lightly stroked certain places. They weren't at all embarassed to admit it. I suppose my inhibitions about admitting I like to tickle ladies stems from the fact that it's tied up in my sexual identity. I guess that most of those who don't feel uncomfortable talking about it don't find it sexual.

i'm a little confused by this thread. if someone likes the feeling of tickling, to me that tells me they like tickling - thats the way i see it. granted, they probably do not like it to the extent that we do here.

then i thought, when i started checking out tickling online, i found some of the stuff then (and even today) that goes far beyond what i care for. specifically, the whole bondage/nudity aspect was not something i thought when it came to tickling. of course, i came to embrace that too. i still LOVE the cute playful roughhouse tickling (maybe bc of the spontaneity)- that could be due to my limited experience though.

I knew a woman some time ago who loved what she called "goosebump tickles". She loved to be stroked lightly almost anywhere. She'd giggle, squirm/wiggle and coo for as long as I cared to play with her. I loved stroking her torso and tummy--it was soooo much fun to watch her body and stomach quiver around.
