registration problem

A friend of mine is trying to register and he says he keeps having trouble with the CAPTCHA thing; refreshing the page doesn't help, apparently.

What kind of problem did they have with it? I was able to use it just now in a test registration.

If they are having an issue have them send an e-mail to the forums contact address (contact us at the bottom of every page) and supply the username, password, and e-mail they want to use and I'll set them up manually.
