I recently paid a visit to my inlaws down in South America. My wife's eldest neice is 22 years old. She knows I love being tickled and she loves tickling me. Each night we'd watch TV with my feet in her lap. She tickled them the entire time even while engrossed in the TV show we were watching (X-Files on DVD)

I asked some folks in the chatroom if they thought this was "creepy" and I got several responses in the affirmative. I'm just wondering why people would think it's creepy. Even for the "any-tickling-is-sexual-tickling" crowd, I would think her being an adult would preclude any such objection. I can say with 99% assurance that the tickling was not sexual for her, but rather a gesture of affection. For me tickling is exciting in and of itself, and not dependant on a sexual context.

Regardless of what people think, I will still continue to enjoy her tickling whenever we're together, but I thought this might be an interesting topic for discussion.
 
I don't see their being anything wrong with it. I mean, if it were for sexual purposes than I could understand the 'creepiness' of it for sure, but if it's just for a little wholesome fun, I don't see anything creepy in it at all, and really, if she's your wife's niece, you're tickling not related anyway, so either way I wouldn't say it should be considered 'creepy'.
 
My cousin Julie and I tickle each other's feet just about everytime we see each other. We've done this for about the last 10 years. It's meant to be fun and "always NON sexual" i've also tickled my sister in-law's feet as well. She doesnt have a tickle fetish like I do but she understands and accepts that I do but finds it non threating and kinda cute

As I've posted here before, my first foot fetish and tickling partner was my cousin, so I'm in the same boat as you. Like your cousin, she's always found it sweet and more than slightly cute.
 
i agree, when i was younger many of my female cousin's whould constanly tickle me when ever they got the chance to, and i loved every sec of it :tickle:

I can see why the sexual types would find it weird, because if you're of the mind that tickling is very closely intermingled with sex this could be seen as some sort of extramarital betrayal or even possibly incest.

Then again they could all just be jealous that their own wives don't have 22 year old nieces who like tickling them. Who knows? :-o
 
I don't think it's creepy, you're both adults, both enjoy it, and neither of you treats it as sexual.
 
Personally I don't see it as being any different from one of you giving the other a foot massage.

What if it is somewhat sexual, say with a 2nd or 3rd cousin?

Hey Drew - you asked for an honest opinions.. I don't think the fact that she's a relative - in fact a non-blood, more distant relative - makes it a little odd.

You don't say how old you are, but if she's your wifes niece, are you, what, 10-20 years her elder? So, in my opinion, it would be a little weird to have a guy in his 40s with his feet in a 22 year-old family members lap for her to tickle knowing he digs it.

So, it sounds a little creepy that way, at least to this 40 year old guy.

I see tickling as a sexual fetish, but I'm a damn grown adult. I can tell the difference between what's sexual and what's not. It sucks that some people have to be so one dimensional.

A foot massage can be erotic in bed, and can lead to some great sex. Damn if it's the same thing when you give your sister one, or even your mom. Massage isn't a sexual thing even though it has the potential to be.

What's the damn difference between that and tickling?

Some people just are putting the tickling on a pedestal.
 
I appreciate all the support. You guys are terrific. To be fair to the folks in the chatroom, it wasn't like I mentioned the tickling and people started saying, "Eww, that's creepy!" It was me who put the word creepy out there first, asking if anybody thought such tickling was creepy. In other words, I felt in no way attacked or flamed. I asked for an honest opinion and that's what they gave me. I appreciated their candor and there was no conflict over it.

I won't deny that tickling is sexually stimulating from someone for whom I have a sexual attraction. In every sexual relationship I've had, tickling has been a big part of it. But like hugging and kissing, tickling is often a demonstration of deep affection between people who love each other outside of a sexual context, such as family members or close, intimate friends.
 
It would be creepy for me. I couldn't do that. I think the age difference creeps me out more than her being your wife's neice (a family member). The thought that comes to my mind is, "would the neice's mom and dad be okay with it?" Like if I saw my daughter doing that to an older, married man, it would freak me out.

If I was there I would have had to leave the room or something. I would be too uncomfortable.

But, this is because tickling is very sexual to Meka and I. We aren't allowed to tickle other people unless the other says it's okay. Like if we were playing with another couple or another female lee. But, that is just all hypothetical. We have never done any of that. And we don't want other people tickling the other either.

Since you, your wife and your wife's neice were all okay with it and it wasn't sexual to either of you than I guess it's all good, morally that is. Like nobody had ulterior motives and nobody was doing anything behind anybody's back.

Also, my family isn't a touchy family. I'd never massage my mom anywhere and she would never do that to me. That would disgust us both haha.

I dont think its a big deal. i personally wouldnt be comfortable tickling a close family member, but i have cousins that id tickle the crap out of given the chance. plus shes not even on your side of the family. so go nuts! plus id give my right testicle to tickle a young hottie. :veryhappy
