The laughing one I can understand.
But I remember seeing a thread here or somewhere else saying they did a research paper on tickling? I'm not doubting it, but how believable is it?
It seems like an easy way to feed your desire for it.
If someone asked you for input on their tickling/laughter research paper, would that freak you out?
(and I now realize where i'm asking this question...lol)

I did a research paper on tickling when I was studying Massage Therapy in the late 80s. I was only 18 and had to do a paper on the effects of different sensations on a person's well-being. Of course, I gravitated toward tickling, even though I had no real experience in what is now my lifestyle.
That's why now, I sometimes advertise my tickle-massage services in NY/NJ, CT and PA:toast:

So if someone asked you for some input on a research project about tickling, would you think they are serious about it or just someone trying to get their you know what off?

If someone approaches you for the purposes of a "research project" then he's most likely trying to get his rocks off.

That being said, if someone were doing actual research, they would probably go the smart way and post an advert somewhere and let interested folk come to them. The same way they do paid focus group research.

I once saw a video clip on CNN about some California college doing tickling research. It showed two women being tickled.

Well, that's the problem, isn't it? The vast majority of the world has no idea that such a thing as a tickle fetish exists. Some people bank on that to trick others into "feeding the need". We see examples of it here like clockwork.

I'm tempted to say a research paper on laughter sounds more realistic than one on tickling. I think fewer people would be weirder out by it.
Agree, disagree?
