Oh yeah,
I have been following this movie ever since Tom Savini came to my school back in 03' and talked about how Romero was taking the riegns again with the "dead" series. He had some pretty funny stories about the process as well. The man is a genius and I look forward to his next incarnation.

Hmm, I think Jason from the Friday the 13th series was the first to give me nightmares, but those movies are mindless slashers (which I still love). However, Romero kept a sense of morality in his movies that helped to elevate them beyond mindless gore, and I think that is what helps to separate his "zombie" movies from the rest. It will be interesting to see how present day Hollywood will effect his movie. After all some stupid producers did try to make him call this movie "Night of the Dead Reckoning", (LotD was originally going to be called "Dead Reckoning")
So lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that he manages to keep his art in tact.

zombie movies are by far my favorite type of horror films. George Romero is quite a dude. the zombie films seem to be pretty popular these last few years and its so awesome to see the man who started it all coming back with something new. im definitely psyched for land of the dead!
btw, if you have the time, track down and buy the book "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks. It is hillarious, yet if there ever is an actual zombie apocalypse, this book will teach you how to survive. 🙂
