Ridiculous reasons for not posting...

LMFAO! That's a great idea! I have picture paper for my printer.....*thinks about it*

:roflmao:

Btw, no actual lurkers posted huh? :idunno:

I never really lurked. I found about this place, looked around for a few hours and thought the people here were awesome. My first post a few days later was a story. Then I went on vacation and completely forgot about this place because I learned how to ski. Sort of. But, smashing face first into a tree will make you forget quite a lot. I came back a few months later and found out I had PM's, comments and a request! :woot:

After that I just started posting. 😀

The first page of this thread is why.

One person is right, one is wrong, they go on for a page, Venray comes in.

:wavingguy

As far as I go, I don't post unless I feel I have something to say regarding a certain topic. I don't care how many posts I have or what color feather I get or don't get.

I'm here to throw out my opinions and get some back.

I believe that people will post if they feel welcomed and accepted within the community. I guess it's easy to place initiative on the lurker, but for years I didn't say a word and in the last six months I've opened up more.

People like Adam and Bugman have an inviting vibe about them. Adam's posts always offer something interesting to think about and discuss. And it's that inviting vibe that got me posting.

Hey, kudos to you, Xion. I appreciate knowing you feel that way about my postings. Thanks for the ego boost. 😀

I believe everyone is simply different. I did the whole lurking thing before officially joining the TMF way back in the day. Once I did, I still found myself only hanging around the images, videos and personals section for the most part. It wasn't until later that it clicked that I had to start getting involved in the community to truly make a connection with anyone. Perhaps a lot of our lurkers are still in that "feeling out" stage.

By the same token, there are probably many who prefer only to view the images and vid clips to get their daily fix, quite frankly. They don't want to get involved and are here simply for the, um... self gratification, shall we say? As long as they're not PMing ever woman in site blurting out "SHO MEE YUR FEETZ LOL", I really don't have a problem with it. Though I admit, it would be awesome if a few more came out of lurker status. Out of our hands, though.

My reason for lurking for about six months while a registered member, and a year or so before
I registered, was because I didn't think I would contribute, that my opinions probably could
be expressed by someone else and that I'm not really that unique.
In short - I didn't think the forum needed me (and it doesn't really, lulz)

I don't know what made me change my mind, guess I'm just an attention ***** O.O

... and I guess that makes me a d) I'm so emo, I can't handle it ;D

I think I lurked for like a week. I just can't shut up, that's why. And, everyone is so dope.

I poured over the Stories section and spent brief amounts of time in V/A-- but, not much because I had already been through a shitload of clips when I was trying to figure out more about my fetish. So, it was more looking into what else the community had to offer besides clips.

Agreed. Our member base is so broad that I usually find my opinion on whatever topic to be already echoed by someone who posted earlier. As a result, I often don't even bother replying. That and I prefer reading all of the posts in a topic, which can be time consuming, and I prefer longer replies rather than a flurry of one-sentence posts. Hell, I've been posting for almost a year now and I don't think I'm even a TMF Expert yet ...

I lurked a bit before joining, mainly because I just wasn't interested. That goes for alot of people I'm sure. Just as people have a choice to speak, so do they have a choice to not speak, otherwise this would be one of those forums you'd have to register at before you can even view it (I really hate those by the way).

It is likely that most of the people that have an account here have such because they simply want their tickling fix, and have to register to view attachments. If you took away the need to be registered for such, chances are that new memberships would drop by a noticeable amount.

Yes, there are possibly some cool people out there that you won't get a chance to speak to because they don't want to speak. But that's how life is.

Good to see that this thread is still pumping now that I have awoken from my state of slumber.

I only ever registered on here because I had to. In 2005, probably even the date I registered, the video clips could no longer be downloaded unless you were a member.

I really had no intention of posting. For me, this is an opportunity to get away from the reality of it all. Some lurkers just don't have the time to sit down and talk rubbish.

And others a simply here for the reasons a lot of us initially signed up for. To expand on our fetish through the internet media.

Why don't I/didn't I post [or often]?

I guess I thought I had nothing to contribute (not that I do now:manicd:)

I'm just here for the ride more often than not. I prefer to keep a low profile in some instances/topics.

There are far smarter and more interesting people already here anyways😉.

I lurked for a loooong time because at the time I was in a relationship (albeit a bad one), and actually felt guilty.
When I got over that I started to post, mainly in the silly forum.
A lot of people criticize posting there, but I found it a way to post and let everyone know that I was here 🙂 while I was still a bit shy about revealing a lot about myself.
Then, once the ice was truely broken, away I went, and yes, it was the best thing I ever did!!! :couch:
