RIP Ryan Dunn

Thank you. Yes this was tragically stupid, but these men just died a day ago; let the fans mourn for a minute, damn. Dunn was a good man according to those who knew him, and a part of the Jackass crew that many of us loved a lot; such harsh and judgemental posts are coming off as needlessly bitter and rather self-righteous for no good reason. They paid for their stupidity with their lives, folks; spitting on top of that, especially this soon, is a bit much.

If I got myself and a friend killed in a car accident while driving drunk at over one hundred miles an hour in a freaking porsche, then I'd want people to make fun of my retarded ass, too.

Yes, it's a tragedy, but it's one that could have been prevented. Easily. Considering his line of work, he should have been more responsible than this. Also, it's not so much that he drove drunk and got himself killed. That happens a lot, and is more tragic than despicable. The really horrendous part is that he got an innocent person killed in the process.

Multiple people should never have to pay for the stupidity of one.

I think it's just human nature to jaw about the death of another... solely because we can, we're still alive and they're not, and I think subconsciously it's something all humans enjoy, as if to say "Crazy about -blank- dying (I'M STILL ALIVE I'M STILL ALIVE), isn't it?"

well to be fair the other guy didnt need to get into the car with dunn but he did anyways. I still feel pretty bad for him and dunn but still drinking, driving and speeding is his fault

His passenger didn't make the decision to get behind the wheel of a car while drunk, and didn't make the decision to drive recklessly at absurdly high speeds. He isn't a murderer, but he is an idiot, and he IS responsible for that death.

Unless Dunn beat up the passenger to make him get in the car, he made his choice

Ive been drunk with others, some have wanted to drive and i knew they were drunk. Sometimes ive ridden with them and thankfully no incident, other times i opted to walk or find other means.

You should probably feel a little bit sad if for no other reason than the fact that he lost his life. For once, I agree with you, though. He made a shitty choice, and got himself killed for it.

You don't have to be a fan of Jackass. You don't have to be a fan of Ryan Dunn...it doesn't really matter. But death is not something you should ever make fun of.

Ryan Dunn was a good person, not a fucking murderer. He made a bad decision that night, but that doesn't make him a terrible awful person.

If it was your best friend/ sister / brother / daughter / son / cousin / aunt / uncle, etc that died drunk driving would you still be making these comments?

No. You wouldn't.

I'm not making fun of him. I'm making an objective statement about the stupidity of his actions.

Of course I wouldn't say that about someone I was close with. I would have a subjective bias towards that person, and I would feel guilty saying something like that. However, it does not make the statement false in either scenario.

And no, he is not a murderer. He did not plan for that to happen(to my knowledge). Also no, I don't think he's an awful person because of it. He did get himself and another person killed, however. That's not something to overlook because of subjective feelings.

I just hope people learn from this.

Then again, I don't make it a habit to associate with people who are prone to acting stupid for reasons like this.
