(Lane County Oregon) Fetishist, tickling or otherwise sort of tend to reflect the population, just as anything else. I moved from the northeast USA last year to the Pacific Northwest (central Oregon to be specific). Here the real population is about half of that of Virginia. The poplulation density is one ninth. There were a few parties hosted in a few cities in the Northeast, with NEST being the biggest tickle thing on the planet as we all know. Myself and my wife along with one other couple tried to keep a tiny tickle group going in the DC-VA-MD area going for about 15 years, but it's no bigger now than it was in about 1997. I gather the other locations that have some tickle social activity (occasional RT parties) are the lakes area Chicago/Detroit, etc., Florida, and Southern California. From what I've been able to discover in the 11 months we've been in PacNW is that a handful of folks have tried unsuccessfully to get stuff going up here for over a decade. Sadly, that seems to be the case nationwide, just a tiny bit more momentum where there are a lot more people. We'd even drive the 3 hours up to Portland if there was something planned there. And likewise, if we could count on maybe a dozen showing up in the Eugene area, we'd host a party ourselves. But it's a lot easier to get 30 people in for a (gasp!) "spanking" fetish party than it is to get 7 intersted in coming to a tickle party. Just sayin'
