Ross's trip to Toronto to see John Fish was nothing out of the ordinary.
Ross met with John Fish about the containment of energy in the Canada fields, and they started to discuss the situation with Alaska.
John Fish , while he did not know Ross as well as Fritz or Steve did, Fish knew that Ross had serious health issues, and that a trip to Anchorage would be pushing it to Ross.
First things first, Ross got home on that Friday night, spent a quiet weekend at home with Kayley.
Ross decided to change his plane to OKC from Tuesday morning to Monday night, so that he could awaken in OKC that day, immediately get to the office, and to the fields,
Ross landed in OKC Monday night, went to dinner with Fritz and Steve, went to the hotel, called Kayley, and went to sleep.
On Tuesday, to save time , Fritz and Steve picked Ross up in the SUV and the men went out to the field, where they met 100 potential investors who came in a bus
After the foreman's presentation, Fritz talked about the investment requirement, time frame of return, and potential of return, which was estimated at four times the amount of investment after three to four years.
The investors were impressed., Forty five committed to sign up within thirty days, with another ten maybes.
All in all, a good day
After the show, Ross, Fritz and Steve had dinner. They met for drinks with a guy who perhaps wanted to do a small real estate investment, but Ross, Fritz and Steve were not sure, and focused on the oil shows, so they took the guy's into and said they would call him.
The next day, the same scenario existed. This time, two hundred people showed up at the presentation. An even better return happened, as seventy five people signed.
The next day would be the last day of the trip. The men left for the field at seven am, started the show at eight with 150 people, and while the return that day was not as good, with only fifty signing, as a whole the trip was a smashing success.
Ross had a late afternoon flight from OKC , that would land in JFK in the late evening, and get him home at midnight.
On the way to the aieport, John Fish rang Fritz's cell phone, and Fritz put John on speaker phone.
"Guys, someone is going to have to get their ass up to Anchorage or we might lose out on some major deals. Ross, if you legitimately cannot go due to your health and the long flight, either Fritz or Steve can go, maybe you guys can work out a finder's commission, or, Ross, you can find someone in New York who knows energy to go in your place.
Ross sighed. "Let me get home, get a good night's sleep, and think about this tomorrow, and then we will figure it out. You know the great feelings that I have for all of you guys that I'm talking to in this car, but, to me it does not seem fair that Fritz should have to sit in for me because I have a medical problem. Unless, I find, say a lawyer or rep in New York who knows energy, who can accompany Fritz on the trip, and I will just be present for conference calls or Zoom shows either from RossShell offices or at home. We have almost a month, so we can figure it out" Ross said.
Ross got to the airport, said goodbye to Fritz and Steve, and got on the plane, feeling truly good about how the OKC trip had gone. Not only had there been three successful shows, or at least two very successful and one somewhat successful, they even had a potential possible real estate deal. Anchorage might just well work out for Ross to be involved in some way.
Ross landed in JFK shortly after 11 and got home about midnight.
Kayley was half dozing. Ross kissed her, said hi, and told her about the successful trip to OKC and that he would explain about Anchorage in the morning.
After Ross undressed, he made the unwise move of going into his den, where he yet AGAIN.saw a flashing message that he knew could not be good news since everyone knew he had been away.
Was it about or from Timothy, or some other problem?
That would be seen.
