Rules of the Tickle Fight Thread

Camel26 said:
What about being able to say no if you aren't comfortable RPing with someone in the thread? I don't care/mind if you lot attack me but frankly, if someone random that I've never seen on here before jumps me in there, I kinda get...cranky. Permission to decline a ticklefight is important, imho.
I'll agree with this one. I'll always ask someone if it's ok if I tickle them first, and I'd hope that anyone else would follow that same courtesy.

I just thought of something. This thread needs to be kept up on the first page, like stickied or something cuz other people who post in the TF thread will may need to see this.

You should also make sure to add new rules whenever you see fit, 03.

Yeah that's a good point?Do the mods have to do that?

Yeah that's very true Camel and a very important one too.To be honest I was glad when I first entered the tickle fight thread and you pointed that out to someone coz I hadn't considered that(but that was prob me just being thick and not thinking.lol).

So yeah anyone has the right to say yes or no when being asked to take part in a tickle fight.

Thanks Camel 😀

Another one is that people cannot randomly join in a tickle fight whilst one is going on unless invited by the lee/ler specifically.

Hey, now yer just tryin to bail Socks out. NO MAKING UP NEW RULES IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually rules can be added at anytime, as long as they don't countermand other rules. However, there are exceptions if a rule is judged to be unfair by a majority.

Hey now seriously that wasn't deliberate-Socks and I had discussed this the other day and it only just came to me I swear-therefore it won't happen again.

Haha-yes boss!lol.Besides I'm the Regulator of TF thread....so what I say goes!

YOU'RE the regulater??? I'M the GODFATHERESS!!!! You're just a smartarsed lee!!😛

That seems potentially unnecessary. If a ticklee has the prerogative to decline a tickle fight with someone, I'd think any other rules strictly governing invitations and mother-may-I's are superfluous. Impose enough rules on a tickle-fight, after all, and it becomes something boring... like tax code... or baseball.

Well, I'm most likely going to use the powers of black and blue from the Magic: The Gathering Universe.

So... how do you gage the power of well over 5,000 spells? 😀

And I would say summoning something huge would cost a lot more than something that costs less. Like Summoning Hypnox would cost teh shitload, while summoning a small Thrull should cost... a capful?

How much does countering your magical abilities cost? Blue has that ability, and I'll use it just to anger you people, thus causing you to join forces to take out me. and only me...

Maybe Counterspell should cost 10? Stifle maybe 15? Heh, I don't know...

(Vanishes in a cloud of green noxious vapors)

Ok I can see where you are coming from Wade about having too many rules and it will make play boring etc etc.But there are a few things that other members have mentioned that they don't like and I thought it would be good to bring that to other people's attention so that they are aware of certain issues. This thread was also created to avoid offending/annoying other members and put them off joining in with the tickle fight thread.

I really think some rules are needed in there. Before, it used to just be about the tickling, but lately, things have gotten really ridiculous with magic, summons (Really, a giant, tentacled monster in there? Come on.), and all kinds of insanity in there. I've been a mainstay in there for a long time, but it's getting to the point where even I'm starting to grow weary of the thread and if things don't mellow out to the way they were, I might be among those who leave the thread. I'm sure I'm not alone either, hence the need for this thread, and for rules to govern our activities there.

Yeah it has gone a bit crazy lately and that can spoil it too.And I think I'm with you Socks,I'd probably leave the thread too if it merges into tickle fight thread/godmodding thread and the two things become blurred.

Sorry if I'm sounding like I'm squeezing all the fun out of it by suggesting some rules, but afterall we are a community and should be able to bring up things like this, right?

Umm im not all about these rules. I created the Thread. There was no rules. It was just to have fun and to keep threads from being overwhelmed by tickle fights. You people just do what you feel like doing, but in all honestly, if you want to go by the rules in all means do so. If you dont want to, then dont. Whos gonna make you anyways?

I agree with this alot. I mean, the main reason I ever did that in the first place is because TK. I by far prefer just regular tickling, so I'll second (or third) that.

The participants may make suggestions as needed to keep the thread enjoyable for all, but I agree with Jeff that formal, staff-enforced rules would stifle the thread and should be avoided. The mods should not get involved unless a violation of the overall board rules occurs, in which case the problem post(s) should be reported as any other.

Glad we're in agreeance. So tonight we go mano Y mano, agreed? 😎

This might sound a bit extreme, but participants who are being repeatedly annoyed by certain individuals might wish to consider putting the problem user(s) on their ignore list so their posts won't be visible.
