Tickling has been used by vanilla people to flirt and initiate physical contact since the dawn of time. The fact that some people use it to initiate contact with people that they bloody well shouldn't has nothing to do with us or our fetish - except for those of us who do likewise, that is.

I really don't think this change people's minds about tickling, whatever view they have on it. I agree with the "unless you're a 50 to 60

You are making a statement that says conformity and disassociation, are in compliance with each other. This is false....

If you are referring to somebody being outside of the community but spreading ideas (disassociation and conformity), what I meant by community was the tickling fetish community, and others who know not about the fetish (or know but don't care/have it/etc.) as being outside the community (this community). In other words if somebody here can think of Sandusky giving the fetish a bad name, so can somebody who doesn't have the fetish.

I agree that somebody who has separated him/herself from the people around them cannot spread ideas since they have nobody to spread them to.

What I'm saying is that things such as Sandusky being the "Tickle Monster" cause negative disposition towards the fetish and this negative disposition spreads. For example: Somebody mentions he/she heard of somebody with the fetish, then the person they are talking to mentions Sandusky and spreads their negative disposition towards the fetish. This negative disposition can also be cumulative, leading to people having outright disgust towards it. And while I don't believe matters are so grim, I'd rather there be no negative disposition at all.

How often have I heard about catholic priests molesting little boys. Does that make me believe all catholic priest do that? No. Are there people ignorant enough to believe that? Yes. Did the church lose any sleep over it? I doubt it.

So: here's a child molester calling himself "The Tickle Monster" (although I don't see any word that he actually did tickle the kids, but I could be wrong and it also doesn't matter). Does that make people believe all...uhm...well, people who tickle molest children (note: he is not even called a tickle fetishist anywhere!)? No. Are there people ignorant enough to believe that? Probably...I can just see the flood of parents getting reported to the police for tickling their kids. Should the tickling community lose any sleep over it? I doubt it.
