Eh, HDS is an atheist. It's less that I don't believe in anything, and I don't, and more that I really could care less as to whether or not god(s) exist. 'Course, my kind is usually in the minority, which we don't mind one bit.:happy:

Guaranteed Paradise. Peh. You Christians have your system worked out sooo perfectly, and then you make up sub-factions of it like 'presbyterians'. I just think it should be fair for you to know that you sicken me 🙂. Oh well, I should give you some credit. Atleast you didn't lie about the fact that you're deceiving your 'God'. Lol. Most others just sin all week and then confess on Saturday, and that makes up for it, and everyone is O-KAY! Yaaaaaay Christians! This country, and world for that matter, are too far biased. Church and State are supposed to be seperate, yet 'in God we trust' on our money! That is filth. People should not be allowed to 'raise' their children upon a certain faith. Children should be allowed the freedom to grow up as atheists, then maybe study every religion, and pick one out if they see fit. You see, it's not that you're 'raising' your children on it, you're brainwashing them. Let me put it this way. Let's say I took a group of Satanists, and built a community sheltered off from the world. We all end up having children of our own, and we teach them the wonderful ways of Satan, and they grow up on that! They use the name Satan just as your children use the word God - without any knowledge of where the name derives from, or what it truly means. We teach them phrases like "HAIL SATAN!" and they use them in the same way your children use the phrase 'Praise the lord'. You see what I mean? It's called brainwashing. Most people will never know better, because they've been taught as young children, that "their" God is the "only" God, and nobody can tell them otherwise, because it's been hammered into their skull on a daily basis for the past... 18 years or so. Very few people ever escape it's clutches, especially because God is such a widely used term - it's strewn about on TV, just like women who run around half-naked! Alot of people will never know better, and the sad thing is, they think 'Jesus' has been around forever - he was recreated in the 80's. Christianity was as good as dead in the 60's and 70's, hell, even Satanism kicked around this dead-horse of a religion, but after a while, it got boring for people, and a group of those idiots who were just there for the ride decided their lives lacked something, like...spirituality. This is the only reason it was brought back.....this saddens me. Christianity is starting to overwhelm again, as I see masses of stupid people following it's laws without question. Hell, most people don't even follow it! They falsely and without right, created their own sub-divisions to it to allow themselves special liberties, like....presbyterians! I don't know if it was created in the 80's or not, but it's safe to say I know why it was created. 200 years ago, if you talked of such things like "presbyterians" you would be burned at the stake! Where's your god now? If "God" is even alive, then he is in SERIOUS need of medicare.
 
You know, I just realized something here. I am a Satanist, which means I have selfish motives. It's very unselfish of me to actually give a damn that people defy their religion. So, you're actually not that bad of people....you're doing me a great service: defying your own God 🙂. I gotta give you credit for that. At this rate, if you keep this up, maybe MORE people will realize, it's okay to defy their "God". Wow, good job you guys...keep up the great work. Christians, on a TICKLING FETISH forum? I like that. Who knows, maybe soon we'll get to see the pretty, young nuns running around bare-legged 0=)
 
We've lost some members over the years (In the TK community as a whole) to their experiencing a religious revival of sorts. Psycho (Not to be confused with the member here at the TT), who founded the TMF, the grandaddy of the TK forums, himself left the community after becoming convinced that his fetish was a crime against god. It has happened. But, not all Christians follow the bible to the letter (They aren't ALL Ned Flanders after all), but some do, and if they can reconcile their coming here and their religion, then good for them.

Edit: Pardon, I seem to be leaving out some words here and there. 😛

Yes, but what you have to understand is that "true" Christians would follow the bible 'to the letter'. Over the years, religion has been revised, not by 'God', but by man, who honestly had no right to do so. I know I sound extreme, but what people have to understand is that though this day and age may seem stable, things were not always like this. Things were changed, like the church. 200-250 years ago, people like me would be burned alive because of the radical way I think. The church used to have power. The church used to actually be something, other than a symbol. This was the same for Europe in the Middle Ages...The church controlled things. It's my belief that church was solely intended as a form of government....however, as more religions were created, as you know, this obviously created problems and started wars. This is not the case for most countries now, because they're "government" controlled. Basically, if you want to live in this country, you have to adhere to it's rules, yes? Some rules seem 'unfair' so they've been changed....anyway it feels like I'm rambling, which isn't what I wanted to do. The point I wanted to get across is that religion should might as well be discarded. I know that people want to believe that there's an afterlife if you're a 'good human', but, none of us are truly good, according to the older ways. Yes, our civilization is alot more advanced, and do you know why this is? We stopped listening to the church so much. If we followed what the bible says 'to the letter' we'd probably still be throwing rocks at our own shadows and dying of old age at like, 40. You ever notice, the further we push ourselves away from religion, the more technologically advanced we become? Perhaps if we just discarded it totally, we'd advance much faster, find more cures....it would be alot easier to get rid of disease without people shaking their fingers at us because we can clone creatures. Cloning may seem "wrong" but you must do "wrong" things in order to push yourself forward. You all know the benefits of it. It looks wrong to the church because, oh my oh my - that would destroy the theory that there are souls! Plus who knows, maybe in a couple hundred/thousand years, we'll discover the key to eternal life, and we'll have no need for an "afterlife" 😉

I know alot of the stuff I'm saying is by far incomplete, but I'm just not in the mood to ramble on and on and explain shit to you that you already know! Preaching to 'the choir' won't do me any good, now will it....

I do agree with you. My personal belief is that religion was created to give hope and order to humanity at a time when there really wasn't much to be hopeful about. And indeed, religion seems almost out of place in this world of order and relative stability. Notice where religion is strongest still: in areas experiencing unrest, instability, and war. While that is not a universal truth, it is something to dwell on. What role doth religion play on a stage where it has been supplanted in part if not in whole by science and government, and the order and enlightenment they bring?

All I have to say on this is that all one has to do is read a history book and see that more misery in this world has been committed in the name of religion than anything else. More people have died because they believed in a different make believe invisible man in the sky than someone else. Once people realize this and couple it with the fact that religion is the world champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, we'll be able to take responsibility for ourselves and fix the world instead of thinking that "god' had something to do with it.
 
I feel I have to insert here that while debate and discussion are encourage we must try not to blatantly insult a person or group of people based on their beliefs. It's just as wrong and against our rules as racism so try to keep it clean, eh?

But I should warn you people, if anybody decides to talk to me on AIM about this, there are no rules or penalties there..just giving you a heads up. I'm more than willing to listen to people here if they think they have a 'reasonable arguement' against Satanism, though. Wait, I take that back, I'm not more than willing, don't argue with me about it, and I won't argue with you about it. Fair enough? Alrighty. It's getting a little stuffy here anyway! I don't really discriminate....honestly, if you're a ticklish lady, I don't really care what you believe, just as long as I can get at them feet! Lol 😛

Of course I understand, it's what you do. You wouldn't be a mod if you were cold....I hope! But yes, I'll admit.... at first, my intentions were a little malevolent..... I've had this urge as a child to cause mischief and chaos whenever I can, and it still hasn't gone away completely....hehe. It's the reason I never skipped any grades in grade school, I got in trouble too much 😛

But i agree nonetheless with the fact that when you born ( and you don't ask for anything ) first things that society tries to say to you is : go to church, read bible etc etc................otherwise you're not goin to paradise ( easy excuse ) .
I have to say that i'm an atheist and i'm pretty fed up with all religions, and even more when someone tries to tell me : what you do is wrong you have to believe in something.
Pee off leave me alone.
In my way religion is made for weak people who have to hang on something but it's my point of view.

I hope that wasn't directed torward me, you know where I stand....telling people to stop won't get them to. I agree with Alf that religion does seem to be forced upon people. But what you must realize, is that trying to 'rescue' them is just as bad as forcing something upon them, because it's basically something they were taught their whole life, and this will only further alienate and shock them. Imagine if you don't believe in Aliens, and then all of a sudden, you're 30 years old, and you're abducted by aliens. That will shock you to all hell, and probably ruin you mentally. Now this may not be on the same magnitude, but it could be with others, because to some people, religion is life. So for NOW, It would seem to be better not to try and recruit people, but welcome them if they decide to persue this type of lifestyle. Therefore, I've decided to take a neutral stand..... as I said before, I don't care what a lady is, as long as she's ticklish ;P

As "evil" as Satanism can sound, it's really not. It promotes a more free lifestyle, which so far, has been very good to me. To be honest, openly trying to bash people's beliefs and being aggressive would actually be AGAINST the things Satanism stands for. I know, that must sound odd to people who really don't know much about Satanism, or why it's called that, but, you can always look back and read some of the other stuff I've posted. It's really more of a philosiphy on life more than anything, not to be meant as a 'religion'. But in a nutshell, the word 'Satan' is used to stir things up. Nothing more. I suppose if you WANTED to, you could refer to it as hedonism, or sensualism, but I'm not just in it for those 'benefits'. It's a free, open type of lifestyle, and it's being very good to me. But it's not for everyone, I suppose. I probably shouldn't dwell on it any further, because I might end up rambling and saying something stupid, believe me, it's bound to happen 😉

I'm not telling anyone to do anything but to be more mindful and considerate of what they say. Because already some things have been said that were totally inappropriate, false, or half-true, plain insulting and belittleing.

I don't need to realize a thing and I don't need anyone to explain it to me like I'm a child. Do you understand me? I know what is and what is not, what has been and what is purely spite now.

I don't mind this thread, but I do mind when people take their liberties a little too far and go on and on to a point where their tongues get too loose and they start to write checks with their mouths that their asses cannot cash, if you hear what I'm saying. Theres a point when enough is enough. Being that its all words here, I think you've gotten your point acrossed, you and the people who posted already, albeit its all one-sided.

I don't want a flame war either, but I hope you understand there is now grounds for one. Ness isn't one to jump to action like that, so that means even she was aware of it. I'm not going to get into it unless theres a mod present, even then, I don't mean to. I want to have faith that you guys can finish what you started in a good way.

I don't think it was the case, but as soon as you write Satan people seem to be shocked.
It's not i say satanism is good or whatever ( in fact i don't care ) but if you can explain why it's your choice eh well it suits.
What shocked i think was the fact that you wrote something about christians, but i personnaly found nothing agressive in your quotes, they're rather funny.

Satan is someone I am VERY fimilar with on a personal level. You simply do not know alf and you take the issue far too lightly my friend.
