one thing that i have grown quite fond of in this country is listening to the liberal rantings of pluralist scholars. It never seems to amaze me how you focus so much on confusion rather than order. the popular contemporary assertion of lilith and other pre eve women still amuse me in my debates with you.

I mean their are passages in the bible that claim that Lucifer WAS the serpent that offered the fruit of knowledge and later was also somehow the rebellious angel that was banned from heaven.

for an infinate being such as the most powerful and beautiful of all God's angels i think that the idea of after faling from the ranks of heavens elite, that he could manifest himself as a serpant to seduce, God's new favorite as he saw it, into defying his will.

The second variation with the goat parts was just a manifestation concocted by early Christians trying to demonize the old faiths of the Greek empire. The god Pan, the quintessential "party god" into hedonism, drinking, permiscuity and any other guilty pleasure was easily sculpted into a demon of sin to sway the faithful greeks. Ever noticed they both got the half goat/half man thing going on?

the reprisentations of satan and the demon persona are to incorporate a picture of what evil is, man as a primal beast acting with no concern for right and wrong. It is true that Lucifer would actually be a sight of beauty beyond basic human comprehension, but this would be an acurate interpretaion of his spirit, ugly and appering to be out of place.

Christians also clumped Wicca, Paeganism, the Druids and early Gaelic faiths in with the Satanist propoganda with their "frightening" beliefs oriented around earth spirits or faeries and elves. By all accounts the Catholic church created the demonized modern stereotypes that see Wiccans, Paegans and Satanists as evil and immoral.....

a lot of people have accused Christians of being very devisive, and we acknowledge this very proudly. the corner stone of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is based largely in part to discernment and accurately discerning the word of truth. much of the modern ideas of faith are based n the idea of making ones own rules, and ofcourse not to offend or impose on anyone elses set. The truth in the Christian religion is that of submission to the word and wishes of God. This is something that no man ca do after the fall of Adam, and there in lies the need for a savior, Christ. If Sin is unatoned for then you go to hell. no pergatory, do not pass go, and no 200 bucks. any idea to the contrary is that of those who seek to confuse us. and yes, that means that the Catholic Church itself is a member of the group. The Pagan God of this church is the only one that any real Pagan cares about, man himself. The idea of man as an intermediary between God and his Children is evil in of itself, as Martin Luther pointed out in the 96 thesis.

Personally I think the greeks had the right idea. Hades wasnt being punished, it was just his job. Zeus ruled the sky, Poseiden ruled the Sea and Hades ruled the Underworld. Of course Hades was more of a Grim Reaper type character than a Devil. The realm of Hades can be compared to purgatory or limbo, a halfway point between worlds. The realm of Tartarus was the greek version of hell, a firely pit of eternal suffering controlled by the Titans.

My favorite Hell though is the Chinese Thousand Hells controlled by King Yama (also appears in the Hindu faith) which combines the aspects of Damnation and Reincarnation. There is a level for every type of sin, and depending how evil you were determines how long your torment will last. After your "sentence" is served, you're soul is cleansed and sent back to the living world to try again, in a lower state of existence than before of course. (A rich man who sinned would return as a beggar and so forth)

Funny side note I realized. One area of the world the Christians had the hardest time converting were the Eskimos, for one reason. When threatened with an eternity burning in hellfire, you gotta realize, its so cold an idea like that was actually appealing! They should have gone with the depiction of the lowest level of hell in Dantes Inferno, where you're frozen up to your head in ice....

Now let me ask you is your oppinion of the Greek ideas rooted in a binding belief in truth or that of comfort, or believability. And i hear you joke about deception with fear of eternal suffering, and then i look at your alternative of a world that has degenerated into a plce of so much hate that you see people shooting other people for no good reason, or school children anialating there classmates.

(the former Theology major steps in) I seem to remember that Satanism has very little to do with Satan, but rather the absense of god. That there is nothing after this, you live, have exclusive control over everything that happens to you, then you die and cease to exist.

It is a major mark against the educational system that you have studied so endlessly, ut still do not know the Christian defenition of evil, what Satans crime was, and what he really represented. The absence of God is spiritual Death, the true suffering of hell that can not be described in human terms so we use the words hot and inferno to relate it to our understanding. When Christ cried out Why hast thou forsaken me it is because for the first time he was seperated from the trinity and experienced true spiritual death, the real sacrafice on the cross, for the first time. The resurection symbolized the weaving of man back into the life of our lord, but th\ey don't teach that in Sunday school. the idea that you are in complete controll of everything in this world that there are no rules to abide by and that there are no consequences is exactly what Satan wants. He does not have to get you to believe in him. I often use the example of a group of people drowning in the ocean, and someone throwing out a bunch of life presevers. if you drown he wins. all he has to do is get you not to take it. the hard part is that its hard to tell that you are really drowning. Humanism is the favorite of Satan's religions. It is the one that you are born into and must grow out of. All religions other than the truth lead into darkness, because they rely on the teachings of men, and not the example of a God.

Some may think that i am an extremist, and i would agree, but it all boils down to the cross. We all know that he lived, we all know that he died, on the third day if his grave was robbed in an attempt to keep a legend alive then i am glad that i at least have the dream of morality, but if he rose as i believe then the world itself will be burned and made a new, and all those who rejectred his act, and have defilied his name for personal vanity, or the persuit of human knowledge will have hell to answer for and i do not appologize for saying it

We all end up having children of our own, and we teach them the wonderful ways of Satan, and they grow up on that! They use the name Satan just as your children use the word God - without any knowledge of where the name derives from, or what it truly means. We teach them phrases like "HAIL SATAN!" and they use them in the same way your children use the phrase 'Praise the lord'. You see what I mean? It's called brainwashing. Most people will never know better, because they've been taught as young children, that "their" God is the "only" God, and nobody can tell them otherwise, because it's been hammered into their skull on a daily basis for the past... 18 years or so. Very few people ever escape it's clutches, especially because God is such a widely used term - it's strewn about on TV, just like women who run around half-naked! Alot of people will never know better, and the sad thing is, they think 'Jesus' has been around forever - he was recreated in the 80's. Christianity was as good as dead in the 60's and 70's, hell, even Satanism kicked around this dead-horse of a religion, but after a while, it got boring for people, and a group of those idiots who were just there for the ride decided their lives lacked something, like...spirituality. This is the only reason it was brought back.....this saddens me. Christianity is starting to overwhelm again, as I see masses of stupid people following it's laws without question. Hell, most people don't even follow it! They falsely and without right, created their own sub-divisions to it to allow themselves special liberties, like....presbyterians! I don't know if it was created in the 80's or not, but it's safe to say I know why it was created. 200 years ago, if you talked of such things like "presbyterians" you would be burned at the stake! Where's your god now? If "God" is even alive, then he is in SERIOUS need of medicare.

i agree whole heartedly that the creation of sub divisions is false, but that's where our agreement ends. the true word of God was first written on the hears of every man woman and child that God ever made. You know, I just realized something here. I am a Satanist, which means I have selfish motives. It's very unselfish of me to actually give a damn that people defy their religion. Yes, but what you have to understand is that "true" Christians would follow the bible 'to the letter'. Over the years, religion has been revised, not by 'God', but by man, who honestly had no right to do so. I know I sound extreme, but what people have to understand is that though this day and age may seem stable, things were not always like this. Things were changed, like the church. 200-250 years ago, people like me would be burned alive because of the radical way I think. The church used to have power. The church used to actually be something, other than a symbol. This was the same for Europe in the Middle Ages...The church controlled things. It's my belief that church was solely intended as a form of government....however, as more religions were created, as you know, this obviously created problems and started wars. This is not the case for most countries now, because they're "government" controlled. Basically, if you want to live in this country, you have to adhere to it's rules, yes? Some rules seem 'unfair' so they've been changed....anyway it feels like I'm rambling, which isn't what I wanted to do. The point I wanted to get across is that religion should might as well be discarded. I know that people want to believe that there's an afterlife if you're a 'good human', but, none of us are truly good, according to the older ways. Yes, our civilization is alot more advanced, and do you know why this is? We stopped listening to the church so much. If we followed what the bible says 'to the letter' we'd probably still be throwing rocks at our own shadows and dying of old age at like, 40. You ever notice, the further we push ourselves away from religion, the more technologically advanced we become? Perhaps if we just discarded it totally, we'd advance much faster, find more cures....it would be alot easier to get rid of disease without people shaking their fingers at us because we can clone creatures. Cloning may seem "wrong" but you must do "wrong" things in order to push yourself forward. You all know the benefits of it. It looks wrong to the church because, oh my oh my - that would destroy the theory that there are souls! Plus who knows, maybe in a couple hundred/thousand years, we'll discover the key to eternal life, and we'll have no need for an "afterlife" 😉

I know alot of the stuff I'm saying is by far incomplete, but I'm just not in the mood to ramble on and on and explain shit to you that you already know! Preaching to 'the choir' won't do me any good, now will it....

that is once again a word from the enemy, the fundamental foundation of the faith is that we can't and one of the first arguments of the beast was that if you were a true christian you would follow the book to the letter and that is just not true after the fall. that assertion cost us a majority of out numbers and is as old as time itself. i thought that you would at least be origional. and to ghost we have had thousands of years to get it right, and we have alwas done a crummy job. this world was damned on the day of the fall of man, the only way to do anything about it is to accept christ because we are all bad.
