ATTN: MODERATOR Save the Golden Nugget!!

For those of you who know the Viper, he doesn't ask much of this forum, but he tries to contribute as much as he can.

Here's what the Viper asking: save the Golden Nugget. The Golden Nugget is the oldest ride on the island of the Wildwoods that is still functional. It was also made right in our area by the philadelphia tobaggon company which the Viper thinks is out of business now.

This was originally brought to the Viper's attention by the Hollywood Brother (in case you haven't figured that out by now). For those of you who were unawares, the Viper worked with the Brother for a few months given that they live in the same area.

The point is, this ride has been around for years, and now they want to destroy it since it does not meet safety/handicap requirements, and getting it up to speed would be too expensive. However, the owners of the ride have stated that they will renovate the ride if it recieves enough support.

Here's what the Viper asks. If you care about Wildwood, it's rides, or just being a part of saving a piece of American history, please shoot an email off to [email protected] asking that the Golden Nugget be renovated, not taken down. The Viper, the Brother, and the entire community of Wildwood appreciates it.

The Viper also asks that this topic be stickied for a few weeks?

The TklDuo-Ann remembers that ride, though she's never been on it. The TklDuo-Ann can't do anything financially at the moment. But, the TklDuo-Ann will spread the word to others who've been there. Is there a news article or something that she can show people to let them know that this is valid? Though the TklDuo-Ann knows you, others won't and will want confirmation before writing or donating.

About one third down the page. "...the project is only in the idea stage, would be a massive undertaking, and may ultimately prove to be unfeasible." Don't let them destroy the ride! It's great fun if you've ever been on it.

Unfortunately the Viper has been unable to locate a more solid resource for this, however he trusts the Hollywood Brother implicitly, and he is sure that this is a good cause.

Well it seems that the fight that the hollywood brother is in keeps going. The hollywood brother apprecaites everyone who is emailing to keep this ride. the ride is not just wood and steel just like the hollywood brother is not just mere flesh and bone. There is something more there. There is something that the hollywood brother will fight tooth and nail for to the bitter end in a hell in a cell match if the hollywood brother has to! The golden nugget has beome a symbol to those who are trying to keep a piece of americana from being demolished like it was just some ham and egger. As many small towns lose there charm and there feel wildwood new jersey is one of those. Generations of people have gone there since early 1900's for vacation. now that is all changing as everything that made wildwood and put wildwood on the map is being destroyed by evil heel developers. All the hollywood brother is asking is that each and every member on this site use your power of email and voice to ask for the saving of the golden nugget. The hollywood brother do not care if you even ever seen it but it is a symbol of a betteer time and place and we need to save it. Please help out the hollywood brother in his time of need. the hollywood brother is in for a uphill battle against a giant but with the millions and millions of tickle posters here behind him the hollywood brother can win his war.

The bottom line is whether you mock the hollywood brother, whether you attracted to the hollywood brother, whether you hate the hollywood brother or dig the hollywood brother, just help the hollywood brothero ut and do a good deed.

the isabeau has also sent an email. the isabeau remembers the golden nugget, although she hasnt seen it in person. the isabeau rode many wooden rollercoasters in the isabeaus past. the isabeau fondly remembers kennywood, home of the infamous thunderbolt. the isabeau closed her eyes the entire time that the isabeau was last on the thunderbolt, not that llong ago. the isabeau hopes that the golden nugget is saved, and the isabeau just loves talking in the third person
