So an enemy has knowledge of my fetish. Pretty sure its only a matter of time before its publicly known. Any words of advice from veterans.
 
Roll with the punches, I guess. As far as I'm aware, there aren't too many things you can do about this that aren't strictly illegal.

This may be the petty teenager in me, but 'Don't get mad, get even' has always been a favorite slogan of mine.
 
The worst thing you can do is be defensive or ashamed.

If somebody your enemy has told asks you if you have a tickle fetish, just say, "Yes, it is an erotic interest of mine." Say it confidently and add, "and there's nothing wrong with that" if it seems appropriate.
 
Yeah man - own it. Your "enemy" will have no sway over you if you own what you love, and that'll make this person look like the loser, not you.
 
It's not like you are interested in "child porn" or anything, let them spread it if they want too. Who knows, some of your friends may let you indulge a little or teasingly tempt you. At this point I kind of have a f*** it attitude. If people can't get past the fetish f***em; not trying to belittle your concern though. I do not find myself particularly comfortable chatting about things related to my fetishes either if I can help it. At the end of the day, there are plenty more f***** up things to be interested in than tickling and or feet, armpits, whatever.

If you feel strongly about something to the point of joining a forum to express it, as we all do, letting others know, if the topic arises seems like a decent idea. This all depends on how out there your fetish. You'd be surprised, maybe some fun loving person my have had a desire to explore such things. Just saying its possible. You don't have to reveal the full extent of how much you enjoy it, just that it is a fetish and leave it at that.

Pretty much every roommate I've ever had has found out about "it." Usually it's because they're more tech savvy than me and would find hidden files on my computer or web histories that I hadn't cleared properly. I always knew when they found out because, even though no one ever confronted me about it, there would always be some subtle reference to tickling to gauge my reaction. Like they were waiting for me to volunteer the info. I never did. I just acted like nothing was up when they would bring up tickling. So they were the ones who had to live with that secret knowledge, not me, and they were the ones who were unable to tell me about it because then they'd be admitting that they snuck a look at my computer when I was out.

This actually worked to my advantage in one situation. One of my college roommates found out and I'm certain he told everyone in our group of friends, because he's the type of guy that would do that. This actually led to one of our mutual female friends trying to tickle me, and another one finding ways to joke about tying me up, without really spilling the beans that she knew. So it's not all bad.
 
Everyone else is saying the same thing so might as well add to the reinforcements. If you take the high road and play it casual, your enemy will lose the power and more importantly, you will gain it. Keep in mind that the power your enemy loses is aggressive whereas the power you gain will be passive. That is by design! Remember: "dish best served cold"

You gain the luxury of sitting back and letting your enemy do all the work for nothing. ;)
 
This has happened to me. I was basically outed by an enemy to my whole college. You know in a way I liked it. It showed me who would still be able to like me for me. My attitude was you either like me or fuck off. I mean I could have really cared less if I freaked someone the fuck out. It's my life and I live it the way I want too!

My entire family knows, and a lot of my friends from HS found out about it. During my senior year, I got really stoned before school and went to the computer lab, and was checking out some tickling fetish sites. I was so high, that I forgot to cover my tracks and delete any trails of my fetish. 2 classmates got on that very same computer that I was using, and saw a lot of shit. They told a lot of my friends about it, but nobody ever talked to me about it at all. I really don't think any of my friends give a shit about it.

It's not as embarrassing as you think, so don't be too afraid of whats going to happen.

I mean really, how many times have people gotten caught masturbating? Or got arrested for child porn? Or got kicked out of school for looking at child porn?

A tickling fetish isn't a big deal.

I know people have horror stories about this deep dark secret coming out, but there are quite a few people in my vanilla life who I've ended up telling, and I've never had a bad reaction. I agree with the people who suggested you just own it. It's really not that weird when you think about what else is out there.

With all that said, who cares if they tell anyone? The vast majority of people have incredibly short attention spans, so as soon as they see something shiny, they will totally forget all about it.
 
Shit coming out of the Closet was a more difficult experience. :) Like the others have said; Own it. Tickle Fetishists are pretty mild compared to some of the other kink out there.

The only "power" your this person will have over you is the power you let that person have. If you act as if others knowing is not a big deal to you or that your proud of it then this person won't have any control over you.

Double this. I came out to over 100 people on my Facebook a month or so ago and nobody said a damn thing about it.
 
Be not afraid; embrace the future. Do not allow the "secret" to rule over you. Be proud of who you are and tell your enemy to tell whomever they wish. Better than a friend selling you out. Never be ashamed about who or what you are, or how you feel. Prepare for the storm.

You are who you are. If you personal shame is exposed to your friends, if they are your friends truly, they will except you for who you are. Your family will just...Not want to know. And your enemy(s) may just mock you with it. Either way, the 'enemy' you speak of is a dick if s/he tells. In the end, you won't truly be any different to those around you. But the tattle tale will still be a dick.
 
There's nothing wrong with a Tickle Fetish. It's like having hazel eyes, it's irrelevant to the facts of life. Actually, in a way it's almost... poetic. "I get a jolly out of making people laugh." Nothing wrong or harmful, so it's nothing that's a big deal. If he (she?) does point it out, say something like... "Yeah, and you have a big nose. Now let's move on to something more meaningful!"

Want to hear a funny story? In the college dorms we all shared one of by buddy's computers for a while and I would occasionally look at tickling sites, being sure to delete the history/cookies. One day one of my friends went on the computer and found a tickling site. He confronted my other friend (that's the way we work) and was like "wtf, girls tied up and being tickled?". I thought for sure I went on the computer and forgot to clear it. To my surprise, the friend who owns the computer was like, "yeah, I'm into that shit, so what?". I was shocked and never brought it up to him. My other buddies brought it up once or twice after that, but in a fun way.

So just an update. He tried to blackmail me and I totally acted Luke it wasn't a big deal. Stating my close friends already know. Hen I reminded him about some dirt I had on him that was waaaaaaay worse. Needless to say, im not too worried. Although after reading your comments. Im pretty sure if it did get out id take it like a champ
 
ah this happened to me, worst thing you can do is let someone use it against you, when it happened to me, the people who found out really didnt care one bit, they didnt even mention it to me, and then I realised why would they? looking at it from outside, its probably not even slightly interesting news.

So basically anyone that finds out isnt likely to relly care in the slightest nor view you differently. let it roll and enjoy it :)

funny little add on to that is when I told my mates ex gf one time she wasnt shocked at all and even went on to tell me about the time a boy mate of hers asked her if he could tie her up and tickle her back when she was in uni which she did and enjoyed, not into it at all tho, odd, ive often found people see it as pretty standard stuff.
